To me, Israel has played its role in kicking Iranian influence out of Syria, which is good for Türkiye. But if they are serious about backing PKK then this will be their biggest mistake.

Well, they did indeed but as most suspected or should I say feared, just like you, they are keen to establish a puppet Kurdish state as a buffer and pawn which obviously will be done as a reward under the pretense for their “heroic fight” against ISIS and for freedom by the US, and in return, will be run by Israeli lobby in Washington

Without any talks, meeting, conference Syria’s map to be redrawn to Israel’s liking and it’s purportedly for the safety of “minorities “, namely Kurdish.

NEW - Deputy and Deputy Mayor of Moscow City Council Andrei Medvedev:

‘Okay, we may have lost our bases in Syria. There is no point in pulling your hair out in anger. Think well, there will be more troops and aircraft on the main front (Ukraine).’

‘Yes, without the bases in Syria, we will also lose Africa, the delivery will be almost impossible, the activity there will be reduced. But look on the bright side, we will develop Siberia instead. We have a lot to do there.’

‘I'm not trying to look on the bright side, but what's done is done, we can't go back. ‘We have to accept reality, evacuate our soldiers and those who married Syrians. Then we should close this page.’

tbh, Assad fell quite fast and that was good, I think the transitional government must appoint some to stop the Israeli advancement, if necessery at later date rouse the population to pull a Ghandi on their march to Golan.

But that aside I think it's important to push eastwards as well, and ensure the conquest of oil/gas fields because that is what will determine the income of a country in the aftermath of war.

I personally think TSK must be ready, and even make preperations US and UK don't want us to do anything because they're playing for time.

But if our preparedness stalls US from raising their hand against HTS and SNA, then that should suffice. We need to counterbalance the super power while the population is supporting the FSA/SNA/HTS.

If we fail and can't liberate enough the people left in the yellow area will feel betrayed. just like how Hatay was left behind in the past....

Nothing will come out of this. US doesn't have the power to remake borders in Syria, the only thing they can try to negotiate for is small kurdish enclaves but even those will not be allowed to be under the control of the pkk.

Israel is just mad that with Assad and Russia gone other actors in the area will now not have to divert their attention towards it. Let's also not forget that Türkiye will have a hand in rebuilding this new Syria.

But only if we make a military move. Otherwise we'll most likely be sidelined by countries fucking up our economy again.

I think Kamisli must be taken.

The only way that Russia and Iran can redeem their image is if they assist with bombing YPG to pieces. Not going to happen, but if they did do that they could return to the picture, albeit with much less power than before.

Well nevertheless we will see how things go. I do not expect any major events to happen i.e. intervention or so. In the end the US needs to foster new and good relations with a new Syria, one where many parts are leaning pro-Türkiye even if the HTS isn't. So intervening in a major way to protect ypg interests in the region will probably be a no-go especially with Trump actually reducing the number of american troops and support in Syria during his first term.

Of course we will see how much political will there is in Erdogan to actually greenlit a operation if it should come to it. Right now SNA is being supported with Drones and nothing more.

Lindsey Graham can cry about it as much as he wants.

As predicted the narratives about isis are ramping up again. They are even recooking a stale dish in a former isis bride shamima begum.

Heating up the isis narratives is in anticipation of the american anglo forces being used to defend the pkk project.

We could ride on the tailcoat of that narrative, by having TSK blaze in with combat troops all the way to the oilfields through PKK and clean up in the proces. Everyone but PKK and US would love to see that, everywhere in PKK controlled area we would be welcomed with Turkish flags

Rescue work continues in Sednaya prison' underground dungeons. Thousands of people are still trapped. There are horrible footages, they have created a hell on earth.

I really don't understand, AFAD should have gone to that building immediately with specialised teams and equipments. All Turkish media should have shown the tragedy there to the whole world.

HTS is prohibiting its members from interfering with women's outfits... They are playing their cards right.

Actually, that sort of things are extremely important. More important than dozens of divisions to me. It is not only right thing to do, but also bring LEGITIMACY, in the eyes of whole world. Not oppress the women, personal rights, fair representation etc. I am sure PKK/YPG is praying for the opposite actions from Damascus right now. We cannot let that happen.

If they continue to do these and sent right messages, PKK/YPG is finished, along with their dreams. They will become completely exposed and have no excuses, they will no longer be crying "look they massacre us".

bull. the shock and awe I saw in IRGC telegram channels was very real. Khamenei's special envoy told Iranian national t.v. couple of days ago that we enquired about HTS preparations and Hakan Fidan and some Arab elements told us there will be no operations; he literally used the words "they deceived us". The kind of equipment left behind by Russians corroborates this. They may have foreseen movement and they were not willing to send troops but they probably assumed SAA might lose Halep after several months and after that the rebels' advancement will stall. Just like how Americans calculated Taliban takeover will take months.
