That’s exactly what I thought when they said that they want to export Anka 3 to ME and African countries. We should refrain from selling those strategic assets to everybody and their mothers, including corrupt countries.
They keep saying that there is high demand regarding Aksungur, but no new orders as far as we know. I’ve already heard that 1 or 2 years ago, but how many Aksungurs were ordered since then ? Not much.
The only proper and logical thing to do with those F-4’s is to put them into a museum. It’s a beautiful aircraft that did what it was supposed to do for so many years now. They deserve to retire.
Hence why i’m not following Altay anymore since last year. But it’s a good reality check. It means that we have still a lot of work to do from design to mass production of a modern MBT.
I would have preferred South Korea or Japan. Going with either Russia or China isn’t a great idea. Basically we gave Russia another leverage on us that they can utilize if deemed necessary. Terrible planning by our politicians.
