And even if it isn't weapon grade fire solution it is more than enough to direct loitering munitions with their own guidance sytems like Kemankeş and Kargı(hopefully one day) towards correct location. Or to direct low attitude observation drones to relevant location for more precise tracking...

I wonder if Baykar would or could consider an "empty" Kızılelma variant more in line with American Wingmen philosophy to get best of both worlds. Expensive autonomous fighter Kizilema and cheaper Özgür/Kaan controlled Wingmen Kızılelma from the same frame and assembly line.

This new claims it was from 30 miles. Relatively short distance but still not too bad for a first test. It also says that Kızılelma tracked and performed the simulated fire while performing a formation flight with one f-16. So we could assume they tested iff in some capacity too.

The video was released today with title "middle attitude system qualification test". It can clearly be seen with afternurner on at certain points but no official max speed was given. Imo they would have mentioned it in the video if it actually hit 0.9 or 1 mach. So maybe they did a high speed...

We don't need MBTs, IFVs, manned jets, modern APCs. What do we need exactly? Million TB-3s? We can't say times have changed we don't need that to every platform while not doing anything to adopt to changing times. MBTs times are over because fpv drones with AP warheads, so are we producing any...

I am still in favour of buying 20 f-16v's if US are willing to give them without much trouble. Even if it is to only get familiar with what Greece will be using and learn from it for özgür 2. But it seems unlikely at the moment
