TASL should have been given complete orders so through orders of scale they are competitive in exports & more cheaper to supply to IA & maintainance. Not as if NIBE is Indian design.

No need to compare. We need 10% growth. Give tax breaks to industries having base in india who invests in manufacturing. While electronics & semis manufacturing is concentrated, enclosures, mechanical panels etc are still inported, with our huge steel capacity we have the capacity to export lot...
I prefer the C390 as well. But it is on the hands on the decision makers. Embraer presents the best chance for Indian industry to indigenize & build over them. Even C295 doesnt give that opportunity.
JV with Embraer should be also good opportunity for India to leapfrog, with civilian aircraft...
