Imagine if saddam has a decence industry like turkey had now. He didnt have the best equipment but still made some sick choices. However when it comes to iraq iran war iraq still afflicted tjem huge damage in casulties to. If im not mistaken iraq lost 300-400 k soldiers while iran its numbers up to 2 million.’

Saddam could have benefitted from a Turkish relationship.

As usual the typical baathist he was, he was hostile to Turkey. Explains why he oppressed the Iraqi Turkmens because he was so paranoid about them.

Don't worry... Iran can't touch Azerbaijan even if it wants to. Not only for the fact that Azerbaijan is developing it's military power every year or because it is in excellent relations with Turkey and Israel but also because you have like 20 million Azeris living in Iran itself. They won't be really happy if Persians attack their brothers in the North for the sake of Armenia or whatever.

Iran without airsuperiority, outdated equipment, poor training and equipment in comparison to the Azerbaijani troops, will start an invasion into Azerbaijan.

And somebody here talks like Azerbaijan is a walk in the park, especially a country that never fought a offensive war the last 50 years.

One thing that we cannot ignore is Iran's massive short and medium range ballistic missiles. in any conflict with Azer, they would shower azeri installations with missiles effectively crippling Azers fighting capacity.

Yes because the war was against weak Armenia and not Russia otherwise there wouldn’t be Baku republic anymore.

Lmao ppl think Iran can do anything to Azerbaijan? No one in Azerbaijan is even worried about Iran trying to flex its muscles with its ancient civilization military, which in itself is pretty poorly trained. We have literally 15 to 20 million Azerbaijanis already ready to pretty much revolt, and these Iranians think they can just launch a war? Not only would the entire Western world provide us with complete support, Azerbaijan already has one of the most modern and battle hardened militarys in the region. Iran can't do anything to Azerbaijan. Iran will end up being carved up by its minorities if it tried to launch a war against any of its neighbors.

Thats true actually Iran got defeated when they invaded Iraq. Iraq was actually pretty much crippled by the time Iran invaded.

Irony is that a lot of Iranians especially high command were against invading Iraq because they suffered heavy losses due to the Iraqi Invasion but Khomeini the Psychopath still insisted because believed a Shia revolution is going to happen in Iraq oh boy how wrong he was.
