Temel Kotil;
T-629 project has been halted in favour of developing T-929 (Atak-II) at an expedited rate.
The electric propulsion we saw of T-629 was for developmental purposes to test dynamic systems, not for flight.

So, developments put in order;

T-929 (ATAK-II)
T-925 (10ton General Purpose Helicopter for LHD)
T-629 (if there's a requirement for it, it may just fade away)

Not everyone can afford heavy attack helicopters.

Philippine AF were offered a handful of 6 or so Apache for nearly 200 mio a piece or something. Horrible. Attack helicopters in the price range of 45-50 mio USD could very well be the best possible investment for many developing countries. Knowing full well that the alternative would be cheaper Russian and Chinese offers.

I don't think T-629 will fade away. It is not urgent. Helicopter workgroup will develop Gökbey, Atak-II, and heavy utility helicopters that is a lot of work and their hands are full until 2025.

We need something to replace T-129 when the time comes. TAI should develop T-629 towards that goal with fully indigenous systems. Incorporating NG features.

Actually no, in 2022 all T-129 for TSK will be completed, after that i doubt that they will show interest in T-629 so it's only logical to prioritise T-929 and T-925.

When talking about T-129, Temel Kotil said something along the lines that we haven't just yet integrated TEI engines into it. So, we may see T-129 with TEI engines?

Mr Aksit told in interviews that ts1400 is developed for both military and civilian purposes. With some armor and tweaks, it is possible to use it on t129 in near future.

Info on the License Production of the T-700 for the long awaited T-70 Black Hawk program.

TEI has already produced 53 T-700 Engines and the rate of production increases.
Now they are close to Producing 2 T-700 per Month.

The first 4 T700 were delivered to TAI in 05/2019.
49 Engines in 2.5 Years, which equals 1.6 Engines per Month.
- This is also important for Future Engine Projects. It took TEI almost 2.5 Years to achieve 2 Engines/Month rate.

The Program planned a timeframe of 10 Years for 109 T-70s (2xT700s) which implies 1 T70/Month so TEI achieved its Target of 2 Engines/Month.

This is a 3.5 Billion program for 109 Helicopters and 236 T700 Engines
- ca. 32M USD per Helicopter.

T-70 project is highly complex and guess it is more than just making the fuselage domestically. Imo it will accelerate.

EDH and FAZ-1 ATAKs to be modernized to FAZ-2 standart.
They can wait for a few months and opt for phase III instead.

If one can read between the lines of the below statement, can one deduce that the permission to use Honeywell engines for Pakistani t-129’s have been obtained?
quote:
unquote.

Who else can be at the receiving end of those 30 Atak helicopters that will be exported next year? Also that means, most of the work must have been completed for the 30 Atak helicopters to be able to export all 30 of them in one year.

Morocco, Azerbaijan and Iraq were interested.
Morocco expressed interest in the deal in 2018, but the US-imposed sanctions slowed the deal. Morocco have went for apaches so i dont know how credible the new reports is. I read this recently:

«Morocco reportedly selected the Apache after rejecting the TAI T129, apparently after Moroccan authorities considered that the Turkish helicopter had “not satisfied expectations” during a Syrian deployment. More recently, however, it has emerged that Morocco is once again in negotiations with Turkey for the supply of 22 T129s to augment its new Apaches»
