TAF has trained 2000 soldiers in Libya so far. Hundreds of soldiers are still training in Libya. The number of students attending military training in Turkey was reported to be 200. The number of SAT commandos among the trainees was announced as around 100. 30 soldiers are said to have received special operations training. The total special operations training target was determined as 500.

Haftar is massing soldiers on Sirte's western and southern fronts. There is talk of the possibility of conflict resumption.

Turkey is increasing its activity in both Libya and Syria. Interesting to see what they are planning.

It's time to make NATO count again, Turkish diplomats should play all their cards and show that Libya, Syria, Azerbaijan all of them are countering Russian influence. If it wasn't for the S400 issue, relations with the Americans could be fixed in no time.

IMO Hurjet or equivalent would be a good addition to GNA. But it takes a lot of time to train pilots.

I wonder when the training regiment will include airforce elements.

Also the Navy. Will we be providing vessel together with Ukraine ?

A ceremony has been held in Libya for the first group of graduates from a military training program delivered by the Turkish army under a security deal signed between Ankara and the Tripoli-based UN-brokered Government of National Accord.

GNA doesn't have the air force that is worth of starting a large scale pilot training at the moment as the training of a pilot is very long and expensive process. First there must be some stability and infrastructure established in order to start effectively build these important parts of the future armed force of Libya. Trained technicians and maintenance staff also is important part. It is a big investment. Most importantly the GNA must undergo a restructuring process and high level officers must be trained in order for them to be able to utilize efficiently the resources that will be given in the future. It is a long process.

Hurjet would be a perfect addition to the Libyan Air Forces by the way. If ceasefire is established GNA must look at some light attack aircraft for sure. They can also purchase enough patrol boats from Turkey in order to control their waters with Turkish backing and also for them a land based anti ship missile will be a perfect addition. The list goes on and on and making it short there is a long way for the GNA to turn into proper armed force. At the moment the priorities are identified and works towards filling the critical gaps are going on. One thing is for sure and that is Turkey will not leave any time soon.
