Infoglobal's i-22 cockpit mockup with 25" panoramic touchscreen display, helmet mounted display, and integrated electronic standby display.

I was privileged to have the opportunity to try the simulator, taking off from Halim and landing in Bandung. I had expected the control column to be like that of the F-16, where you only need to nudge it slightly—but that wasn't the case. In any case, the HMD is really neat. Although it currently displays only basic flight parameters and only on the right eye, I was told they're aiming to develop a full-visor HMD for future versions.

Indonesia's Republik Palindo has entered negotiations to supply the Indonesian Navy with an evaluation prototype of the company's stealth missile boat, which has been developed with assistance from Turkish weapons manufacturer Roketsan.

Under the contract, Republik Palindo, which was previously known as PT Palindo Marine, would supply the Indonesian Navy with an initial prototype that will be used to evaluate the vessel's seakeeping and manoeuvring capabilities.

Eventually, the service is also expected to procure other prototype units that will be used to evaluate the stealth missile boat's combat capabilities, including one that will deploy and launch Roketsan's surface-launched variant of the Çakır cruise missile, said the representative.

Roketsan Signs 2 ATMACA Missile Deals with Indonesia

Turkish defense contractor Roketsan has signed two agreements with Indonesia’s PT Republik Defence Indonesia (RDI) for the supply and joint production of the ATMACA anti-ship missile, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported.

One of the agreements, signed as a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA), outlines plans to establish facilities in Indonesia for assembling and producing ATMACA missiles. The initiative is intended to support efforts to reduce foreign dependence and develop local defense manufacturing capacity.

In addition, Roketsan signed an agreement with Turkey’s Sefine Shipyard to integrate ATMACA missiles into two KCR-70M Fast Attack Craft currently being built for the Indonesian Navy. Construction of the vessels began with a steel-cutting ceremony in November 2024.

This week’s agreements follow a January 2024 contract that made Indonesia the first international buyer of the ATMACA missile. That initial deal, reported by the Janes defense outlet, covered the delivery of 45 ATMACA missiles to PT Republik Defensindo, a separate Indonesian defense contractor.

The ATMACA system is expected to be part of Indonesia’s Minimum Essential Force (MEF) modernization program. Interest in the missile was previously signaled during its presentation aboard the KRI Singa (FPB-57) patrol boat.

PT PAL Builds Advanced Facilities, To Accelerate the Manufacture of 2 Scorpene Submarines

Galangan%20Kasel.jpg

The technology used in this shiplift is classified as modern, such as the normal lifting capacity of 6,000 tons to a maximum of 9,240 tons. Not only that, this shiplift is also equipped with an electrical motor drive.

Head of the Submarine Division of PT PAL Agus Rifai said that with the shiplift facility, the loading and movement process of the submarine can be very smooth. It is estimated that it can be operated in March 2026.

"Alhamdulillah, we have received a contract to work on two Scorpene units with the French Naval Group which will be carried out at PT PAL," he said, Wednesday (6/25/2025).

As for the construction of the dock, the progress has reached 60%. If there are no obstacles, the construction of the pier will be completed in December 2025.

"This pier is used when launching Scorpene which has a deadweight of 2,000 tons. This pier is designed to have a capacity of up to 6,000 tons. This means that not only submarines, but surface ships can also be launched such as Fregates and so on," he said.

I wonder if they designed rear ramp like the one in TNI AD 2500 DWT LCU.
