Yes, it's not just A320. Nearly every single Airbus or Boeing flying today have a TAI built part on it from small bolts supplied to Spirit for 737Max production to elevators on 787s, ailerons on A350s. There are plenty of tier 1 suppliers in Turkey and for many parts they are the sole suppliers of said parts to their respective buyers. Most of these parts are build to print, but some specific ones are designed to build as well. Turkey have multiple efficient, capable aerostructure builders, Kale, Alp Aviation etc.

All this started in late 80s, increased in scope over the years and culminated in our extensive workload on F-35. That's why Kaan's fuselage is just as good as F-35s. F-35 is now gone, but all these existing civilian contracts(and non American military) remained and continue to flourish; bringing easy clean money for technician level jobs.

TUSAŞ T-925 General Purpose Helicopter
A full-scale (1:1) mock-up will be showcased at the IDEF 2025 exhibition.
Delivery of the fire-fighting helicopter intended for the General Directorate of Forestry is scheduled for 2028.

HÜRJET has a payload capacity of approximately 3 tons.
Around 80% of the missions performed by the F-16 can be carried out with HÜRJET.

HÜRKUŞ-II has a payload capacity of 1 ton.

The AESA radar developed by ASELSAN has a detection range of 180 to 200 kilometers.

I hope that 200km range detection is for small targets like a drone or something like a stealth fighter, 270 degree azimuth with side radars. Fly away from your enemy and the same time lock the enemy.

200km away can never detect a stealth fighter.

It’s probably for around a 1m2 target

This is APG-80 an older AESA with around 1000 TRMs.

Technology advances but there are electronic limitations.

If this is a chart off modern radars it seems ok when a classical fighter radar can detect from 110km.

Afaik that radar is the current MURAD that is being tested, because there were already discussions about its range, mentioning a range of 200 km. KAAN will have a better radar.

It’s a chart from the APG-80 used on the Block 60 fighter of the UAE.

It’s an aging AESA, and only has 1000 TRM compared to F-22 having 1500. I’m sure the Turkish AESA is very good technology but even APG-81 would struggle with detecting stealth fighters/low RCS drones.

More importantly, AEW&CS are first and foremost the main trackers and detectors of enemy air targets. Keeping radar emissions of fighters as low as possible is of utmost importance.

Here are some estimated performance figures of different fighter radars, this is an old document and it’s hard to get real figures so take it with a bucket of salt.

That is right. It is against a fighter-sized target (1 square meter RCS). We discussed it widely in this forum in the past, and he is talking about Murad-100A; Murad-600A will be different. We know the range of the Murad-100A because it is in flight testing, and Aselsan and platform producers confirmed its capability in live tests. Murad-600A is currently in the lab. I expect roughly double the range from Murad-600A (350-400km against fighter-sized targets).

Do you know which one is correct, MURAD 100-A or MURAD 110-A? Which one is a typo by Aselsan?

Makes a lot of sense, only troubling thing is being able to detect stealth fighters in the future.

With stealth getting better and more common detection range of stealth fighters against eachother is going to be complicated.

Yeah, it will be like 2 blind man fighting each other. It will be even worse for the 6th generation as they will be stealthier with tailles designs and wide spectrum stealth. Sensors like IRST and low frequency/dual frequency radars will be more important. Also, sensor fusion and advanced MUM-T will provide the edge in air the air engagements. It will be easier to detect the target if 5 radars are illuminating it and cooperating with each other.

I’m guessing that there will be two Murad 100 radars and one murad 600(bürfis). Murad 100 for low power like AKINCI or Kizilelma and one normal for f16 and hürjet
