MAM-L has been tried successfully to hit a target at it’s longest available range.
It was announced sometime ago that with latest developments the range of the weapon was extended to 15+km.
Roketsan is still working on a newer version with even longer ranges. The news however does not clarify if this is a new version or not.

MAM-L is a drop bomb and it only glides without propulsion.
I wonder what kind of range L-UMTAS can give from altitude as it is propelled.

There are differences of AUAV systems in doctrine of usage in Turkish and American armed forces ( exampled as they’re using Hellfire missiles which is similar to UMTAS). For the US forces AUAV’s are mainly scout/intelligence/assasination weapons. What propelled missiles do here is immediate impact. The flash of engine ignition and fume line reveals the drone on the other hand. Range is limited to propelling time of missile as they’re not designed to glide which requires big wings.
In contrary Turkish forces also uses them for what’s beyond assasination (ie. Slaugtering). MAM does it silently. You can only aware MAM because of friction sound in air and you’ve 7 seconds max after that. As they are not fired you can’t aware that the UAV is looking for you. Range of that kind of weapon depends on how much you can glide that.

The kind of use totally depends on what the enemy can do to counter your action. If the under-armed enemy can not detect your heat then you can very well use a propelled munition like in the case of the US in Afganistan. There maybe opportunuties for the Turkish military to use a glide-able propelled munition for the best range fired from a tactical UAV, in some of the theaters (we don't have a lack of them), why not.

Apart from Gökdoğan and Bozdoğan, I seems two new A2A missiles are in development phase.

To be fair it doesn't outright say A2A just two new missiles to expand the TAF superiority in sky.

Probably a Meteor(which we know is already being developed) and HARM for SEAD/DEAD(which we also know should be in advanced stages of development) equivalent.

In the future we might see CUDA and Peregrine type missiles developed for TF-X. That are only half the lenght and weight of an AIM-120 but possess the same if not even greater range.

If there is such a project (acc to the explanations, there is), the first thing that comes to my mind is the RamJet missile.

The title is "Havadan Havaya Füze Hakimiyeti" in brochure bro. Under this title, The institute is highlighting two new air superiority missiles apart from Bozdoğan and Gökdoğan and two new missiles must be in same "Hava-Hava" family

Then maybe they already have started work on an Missile like Cuda/Peregrine. I don't see any other project that would make sense when you already have WVR,BVR and Ramjet.

Akbaba project developed by Roketsan....Not SAGE

Ramjet AA would be long term project....We need short-medium term missile project something like aim-260

We need long range BVR missile like aim-260....Solid trust with dualpuse

- Do you have a plan for ramjet?

-We re working on it. We have a ramjet project whose contract has been signed and continues. 90% of the infrastructure process is complete. Turkey will have ramjet missiles.

One missile is very short range
View attachment 15547

and other is most likely ultra long range ramjet air to air missiles called Akdoğan.

yes ı partially agree with you one for anti-missile missile the other one is anti radiation missile,at the end destruction of air defence means AA superiority,ı do not think ram jet based missies are coming,if its true ı am totally surprised. We should not make a missile beyond our sensor capabity because it is useless,so make an aesa radar first than missile second, for example during world war two japans torpedos on subs better than americans but sonars not so it did not make any superiority.F-16 özgür with akdoğan,bozdoğan,anti-missile missile and tubitak electronic war pod would be a beast
