Baykar one is using multiple images to update a bigger picture. STM did something different, if I understood correctly, they used new images from a different position and corrected it for perspective and zoom for the initial picture. Maybe it’s the same but felt very strange to watch it...

Very nice.. Some of the stuff is common and nice to see we can do it. Some parts I haven't seen before, the method in 0:11 is very intriguing.. looks like they are able to create and update a 3rd person view with correct perspective by using a first person camera updates. Imagine using these...

As a civilian I was surprised when they selected RF for datalink. Back then there were no examples or capabilities other than aircraft launched munitions using RF. The video quality for OMTAS and UMTAS are barely acceptable imho. They probably get the %90 work done but one must imagine other...

I'm answering to a question in that first post. Honestly I read your post telling the same thing after I sent mine. If I had read it before I would not have sent it because it's almost the same information. Technically current UMTAS is a NLOS missile because of operation type with regards to...

Hence my original post including some recommendations and marketing advice for NLOS tag.

Go to 3:51 and see this capability. You think I don’t know about NLOS targeting but I already mentioned “other sources” for confirmation in my original post. Do you think inventor of Spike added an unnecessary feature? In your static NLOS warfare concept (which is nothing new and dates back to...

Which part of it is wrong? Imagine a big mountain or obstacle. To hit a target on the other part you need to launch the missile. In order to preserve LOS for datalink you need the missile flying at a higher altitude and you won’t be able to control the missile close to the end of the terminal...

If UMTAS can hit a target that is out of sight it could be classified as a NLOS missile. But there are things that should be improved: - range is 8km (İsmail Demir mentioned 16 km for LUMTAS and it should be illumination by 3rd parties for a NLOS target). - the datalink is LOS, so a scenario...

FACM 70 looks better than the other two. (I edited the post to provide examples). But again for example the door on the front of the structure behind the gun. Instead of attaching the door to a continuous surface they created a pocket there which could be bad for explosion resistance and it may...

TR Navy Conceptual & Technology-Demonstration Designs

Some of the designs I don’t understand, I don’t want to disrespect the work and I’m not knowledgeable to criticise but they look too lazy. Too much openings (for doors), exposed missile tubes, angled bridge walls for tilted windows. Do they not increase radar visibility? What about resistance...

Didn’t he say “gün sayıyor”? It means it is waiting to fly. The body shown is “üretim geliştirme modeli”, I understood that it may not fly like the first Akıncı body. 12.06.2018 first reveal of Akıncı body 06.12.2019 first flight of Akıncı

25k feet is close to 8 km . Could be thought of a practical range to be able to hit ground targets or could be a software design problem because of the old range limit. For the altitude 25k feet to 40k feet looks so much but in reality it not much when compared with slant ranges where the FLIR...

Only visuals or representative symbology without motion (it's better not to stress human body) should be enough for an expert human to dogfight or to perform any kind of operation. But if we have too many UCAVs there would be bandwidth limitations. So there would be a limit to how many UCAVs can...

TR Missile & Smart Munition Programs

Yeah, most logical. Gliding where L/D is maximum then switching to seeker mode would yield best range. If it starts early the path could be too shallow or too steep, reducing the range. Cirit, UMTAS and OMTAS angle of attack towards the end of flight did also seem suboptimal, bleeding energy...

It’s a gliding bomb so I don’t think glide ratio has changed much, must be designator/seeker related or envelope expanded with more trials. According to Roketsan website it already had 14 km range on GPS/INS mode before range changed to 15 km after trials made near sea.

UMTAS should be subsonic. From a previous launch it’s more like 0.5 Mach. source video: On the left there is a time and distance counter. I wonder if they changed the missile for 16km or if it was already capable of that distance from the start with a curved trajectory.

The train bombing scene had the usual GUI but the quality was a bit low, like Aselsan CATS. It could be due to capturing a monitor screen by a phone though and I don’t think if CATS is used the GUI/symbology would remain the same. Also I saw a new GUI mode where constant laser spot or...

I don’t have the engine data but did some more observations. I believe the data on flightradar24 is not correct, also the calculated ground speed on Akıncı screen could be false as the wind was not that much yesterday (ads-b data from airliners show 30 kts wind at most at those levels...

    TR UAV/UCAV Programs | Anka - series | Kızılelma | TB - series

The commanded indicated airspeed is 115 kts on the second photo, actual airspeed is 103 kts so the engine is trying to accelerate the aircraft, causing higher engine load. At this command speed the true airspeed would be around ~220 kts. 253 kts would be quite possible. If you believe...

They blurred the indicated airspeed from videos but it’s still visible elsewhere in the photos. I think I could understand the user interface a bit and because it’s not super secret I’ll try to describe: In the first photo It is doing around 196 kts true airspeed which was the maximum speed...
