Except F-16 wasn't made to be an allrounder. It was more akin to a modern, bigger F-5 on its inception, read Lightweight Fighter program. It wasn't even supposed to carry the AMRAAM. Current F-16 B50 is 1/4 heavier than the YF-16.
It was perfected to be that way years down the line, mostly with...
Yep, they downplayed the whole thing at the beginning for some reason or another. Look at the loot. That's no small anti terror operation.
Per Babayan, Azerbaijan even offered autonomy during the talks in summer but was refused. But a week or two after the Russian sponsored "election"...
Photo used by the Romanian source is that of Fırtına II(see the RCWS) and doubt BMC would offer Fırtına I.
Tbh and in the odd chance Fırtına wins this tender, I doubt we'll see it with the local engine.
Very impressive speed.
TSK and MSB did forego its delivery time in the past for some customers. I think Boran and Omtas for Kosovo was one. New 155mm howitzers tho, we need them.
Yup. Unless I'm mixing it with K2, first batch of K9s delivered were also from Korean Army orders. They can be flexible like this because unlike us they don't have embargos and no delays. Even without all that, doubt we will ever match that speed of delivery.
Other than financing, as we've seen in Poland, Korea can also complete the contract in a much shorter timeframe. Doubt we can be competitive in that unless MSB allows Romanian order to take precedence.
Romanian source mentions it being a phase 1.
Looks to be second hand, built in 2015.
Weird. And I haven't seen any confirmation about it being for Hava Soj. We had an event like this last year when a Citation was delivered and it came out to be a calibration aircraft for DHMI.
It being a G6000 raises the odds but let's see. Maybe a...
Romanian tender for 54 155mm SPHs, for a total of 900 million€. A second tender for a bigger order is expected.
3 finalists: Fırtına 2, Pzh 2000, K9.
Edit. This tender was talked about in the past as "Romania looking to buy K9s" or as a race between the Pzh2000 and K9. T155 wasn't reported at...
Babur and Ada difference is much clearer here. Babur and Kaibar are nearly 10m longer. While Istanbul and Babur are more similar with Istanbul being a tad longer.
Wish we could see a nice top down but non commercial satellite images are not updated yet.
120mm is a perfectly fine caliber. I don't think a move to 130 or even 140 is worth the hassle.
We don't know much about new armor specifics so I can't comment on that.
Re EOs tho, M60TM have a more comprehensive EO suit than any other tank on the market today, we know that right? Re AR with...
