I used to work in Mumbai that time. In fact my office was walking distance from CST station, but that day I was visiting one of our branch offices in Navi Mumbai. I will never forget those days.

Nice to see you join the forum! Its quieter here, but more useful discussion pops up qualitatively....would appreciate you spreading the word for any folks if this kind of (international) setting is more their cup of tea. All major participant countries get dedicated mods and there is consistent (anti-trolling) rules applied at all times etc.

Was a lazy day at my then lady love's when the frantic calls and messages started exploding on my phone.... What followed was hours of being glued to the TV and watching in utter terror as those events unfolded.

Knew a couple people who were directly impacted and lost loved ones there. Horror.

Never again, #hopefully

While it is all well and good to remember 26/11 terrorist attacks sponsored by Pakistani state, has India even named one monument in Mumbai in remembrance of the martyrs? Even a simple park or statue near india gate dedicated to 26/11 victims memorial would have shown that the people will never forget the damnable atrocities by Pakistani terrorists. But nothing was done and is being done. It is hard to acknowledge that Mumbaikars or in general Indians care about 26/11 losses. Compare this to the 9/11 memorial building in NYC. SMH.

Within Taj there is a memorial.
Outside Churchgate station is a a memorial
On Chowpatty beach there is a statue and memorial of Tukaram Omble, the cop who caught Pakistani terrorist Kasab with his bare hands while the terrorist fired shots into Omble's stomach with an automatic weapon

Nice. I was more interested in government memorials I.e. people funded memorials. The police memorial is very appropriate. I hope the government erects a nationwide memorial to all terrorism victims in India caused by cross border Pakistani terrorists. The future generation in india and the world should not be allowed to forget the heinous nature of the Pakistani state apparatus in sponsoring terrorism within Indian borders.
