Tosyalı Group BMC CEO Mr. Yalçıntaş:

"As soon as we decided not to invest in Karasu, we applied to the Ministry. There is no defense industry cluster in the immediate vicinity. Therefore, the cost of production in Karasu is high. We immediately started the search for another investment location. When the location is clear, we will share our new production base with the public."

Mr Yalçıntaş:
"When we gave up on investing in Karasu, the Ministry started to look for new investors. As far as I know, a large industrial establishment has applied to the Ministry for Karasu at the moment. I think permission will be issued soon and investment will begin."

I would presume these are the ones that will get mass produced:
250-300 No name but prob will be used on Tulga.
400-450 Vuran for Vuran and Kirpi.

It would be nice if Azra is mass produced at the start of 2023.
It would be nice surprise if we get UTKU is well but i doubt it.

Is anyone even listening to all their promises/lies anymore?
The tricky part is that the current BMC is not the same as the BMC before. It belonged to Ethem Sancak, AKA "Sakallı". Look like he looted a good chunk of money, and eventually, he sold BMC to Tosyalı Holding. Given he was kicked out from AKP after making a speech for Russian TV, we can think he wasn't willing to sell it.

This cancellation was the first thing company made after the acquisition. I believe the new administration is trying to fix all those bullshit made by previous guys and getting their shit in order.

Altay is being delayed constantly for an obvious reason (yeah, a power group from Germany). The Korean system looks to be implemented, and these guys should prepare their mass production facility as soon as possible. Also, there is Fırtına 2, which needs mass production.

The M60TM tanks in the inventory of Turkish land forces will go through additional modernisations and improvements.
Within the project signed with Aselsan, the tanks will receive the latest Volkan fire control system and new improved armour. Also cabin will be upgraded.
These tanks’ first time right shooting capability will be greatly enhanced.

Morocco have around 400 M60, i wish morocco would take the turkish modernisation package into consideration. They could be a solid solution together with 400 m1 abrams.

The TAF Tank Inventory is quite insufficient.

Take a look at this a Soldier in Syria asking the Tank Crew of a M60A3 what took them so long and the poster makes a joke saying be patient it a tank from the 60s.

We have been writing for so long how the Tank and IFVs in the TLF are simply outdated.
Till this day there doesn't seem to be anything noteworthy in Development from ALTAY either.

The Land Forces need a Plan. I am Afraid ACV-15 and M60s wont cut it.

The problem might have been something else but speed. The soldier could have happly said it because of the arriving support. For syrian battle M60s are efficient.

Looks like old M60’s to me. It doesn’t seems like they were modernized, at least from the outside look of it.

Yes probably but it is a good jab nevertheless.

And contrary the Air Force and Navy, platforms are ready for land forces. We just don't buy them. Yes it will ve expansive but not as expensive as the platforms that the navy and air force should buy. Also considering the reduced logistics and maintenance expanses, this vehicles probably buy themselves in the long run. We are wasting money to keep operating the obsolete platforms.

If we consider the BMC's exclusivity is finished, only reason i can think that we are waiting engines to enter serial production.

I don't know but I hope we won't end up like Russia.

Again and again it is the upgrading of M60, I really wonder what is keeping the Leopard 2A4 upgrade and more strange is nobody is even asking SSB whether Leopard upgrade is dead but not buried yet

I am just thinking outloud. Maybe we don't want to stay depended on the Germans for the main battle tanks. In the past we had problems with the spares and if the army expecting this in the future it is logical to spending money to the tank that we can actually use as we want.

If this this the reason I guess the army considers M60's as primary main battle tanks until we get Altay.

But as usual the reason might be totally different.

Leo 2 upgrade is in the works, thedecision was taken recently now aselsan has started the works for the subsystems it will place maybe next year we'll see a prototype after that serial modernization will take place.
BMC

Do I need to say more?
BMC has nothing to do with TSK's failure to modernize tank fleet eatlier.

The reason is that TSK wants total independence in land vehicles therefore a lot of projects are being dealyed a lot in order to ensure high localization, ömttza for example was supposed to start deliveries by the end of 2020 but no deliveries yet because tümisan engines aren't ready yet.

Thats a retarded thing to say, BMC has nothing to do with TSK's failure to modernize tank fleet eatlier.

Failure? The only failure here is on an corrupt company whose former owner sold his shares knowing that it was slowly going down the drain and the political favours he was gaining were soon coming to an end. What has BMC done the last 5 years since it has been awarded the Altay serial production tender with absurd incentives I might add and the Leopard 2A4 modernization?

Even their pride Kirpi 2 is what is is thanks to input from the Land Forces and changes made by Land Forces engineers.

TSK didn't award a corrupt and failling company those tenders, the politicians did. The only failure here is on the ruling party and BMC who gladly took money from the government and pocketed it for themselves.

Not only that BMC is losing engineers every day. Everybody in the industry knows this exactly the same reason why the company has been so quiet the last year. It is hemorrhaging money and qualified personnel.

Its engine projects have gone dark too. The last we heard from reliable sources the tests for its smaller engines haven't gone well.

Even now they are delaying the NGAPC and NGIFV tender for a specific company who still hasn't delivered their test unit to the Land Forces. Man who could that possible be.

I'm sure it is not the same company for whom the Government on purpose sabotage and delayed the serial production tender for Altay.

That you people still try to come up with delusional excuses instead of facing the harsh cold truth. But what am I saying some of you rather blame God for things that happen in this country instead of the actual person responsible for it.

My mans really tried to blame for the pathetic development of an L2A4 modernization as if TSK was doing it themselves or were awarding tenders by themselves. BMC has since 2018 done shitall other than bring unuseable "prototypes" of so called modernization that no competent Military would touch with an ten foot pole.

Funny how Aselsan has modernized dozens of Sabra tanks after they were awarded the tender but BMC is yet to do a single thing. Not only that Aselsan will do another modernization soon for them. Yet nothing serious from BMC.

Can't wait until this useless company is wiped from the face of the earth.
