They still need to conduct some studies to assure those gears will withstand the worst conditions on a ship. I think for prototype tests they assume typical landing conditions on a land strip.
There is yet to come shore based ski-jump tests and arrest system tests on the land before trying it on Anadolu, in a calm sea and then desired sea state. Yes Navy has a habit of demanding demonstration on adverse weather conditions.
Simple dynamics of rigid bodies question for fresh engineering graduates;
a TB3 enters ski-jump %10 below the take-off speed and continues to accelerate with %5 of the take off speed (per second), given the curve of skip-jump (refer to any TCG Anadolu images, side-views and fit a 3rd degree polynomial) obtain the maximum force exerts on the front wheel in terms of the G (gravity). Assume mass as given by Baykar, CoG is positioned in midst of the fuselage and mass moment of inertia, angular motion is negligible. Ignore platform motion and unsteady weather conditions, assume a steady motion as given. For simplicity consider take-off speed as service speed.

I think TB-3 would be able to carry out stand off strike as well as limited Anti ship role with KUZGUN family.
@TheInsider
Yes. And there is nothing wrong with the landing gears. It doesn't look like that but TB3 is actually very light with a 1450 (1500) kg MTOW for comparison Anka has an MTOW of over 1700kg. TB3 will be able to carry a payload of 280kg(Anka carries 350kg comparison). The typical load for TB3 might be 2x Kuzgun+2xKayı-50(50kg) or 2x Kuzgun+4x MAM-L.
TB3 can produce a big lift force at a slow speed that enables it to take off from short distances and when landing, landing gears and body withstands less force but it is still 35knot faster than TB2 due to stronger engines. Geometry is optimized in that regard.

When I first saw this picture I thought;
Wow they have done their homework right;
As well as two things that were very noticeable:
1. Aerodynamic body and a possible high lift potential
2. Really robust looking, improved landing gears.

There should be no problem with take off from a ski lift with the TEI engine. However it would be interesting to see how they are going to stop this bird after landing. Especially if the plane has to avoid the large lift at the aft of the ship.

In any case this bird looks like an improved next generation of a tactical TB2 drone. Well done Baykar.

I still don't understand how does this ucav would land on a non-angled carrier. Clearing between the runway and the island is very narrow. Isn't it too risky?

Question: As soon as the TB-3 puts a wheel on the carrier, can it create a force in the opposite direction by causing the pitch control and motor to reverse? If possible, how much does this contribute to his stopping at a short distance?

"It will be the world's first armed unmanned aerial vehicle capable of taking off and landing from short-runway ships such as the TCG Anadolu."

I see such headlines on defense industry pages. Wasn't the first General Atomics Mojave?
