Anybody else think TB-3 looks like a marlin? Really sleek, can't wait to see it fly.

The distance between the folding points is 0.45 times the total wingspan. This corresponds to a folded wing position width of approximately 6.3 meters. In addition, the main wing area, where there will be three ammunition racks, will be approximately 2 meters. Of course, this is only a rough calculation, but it gives an idea.

With a very rough calculation, this means that each TB-3 will occupy an area of 50-55 square meters in the TCG Anadolu hangars and deck sides.
+ it has a lower profile, I. Demir hasn't mentioned of it but high likely Navy will get an elevator type storage for this boy and store more in a small space.

Doesn't it need more powerful landing gear?

We really need some details. It looks smoother and bigger. More payload possible?
Also, foldable wings are nice. Anyone spot any hooks for catapult launches?

You can tell all of that by just looking at a picture, while experienced engineers who model, simulate and design them have no clue. Right!
Looks like they don't yeah It needs to have stronger landing gear.

Also baykar doesn't have a history of making "naval" stuff for naval landings you need to have good landing gears.

How do you know the landing gears are not strong enough?

Does this look strong? this is probably for land variant naval version should have much stronger ones.
Nutuk you could just say this is for testing and land version but you went to say stuff like that really shows your age lol

Also a quick observation whenever we criticize something in this forum people tend to say stuff like "ARE YOU AN ENGINEER?" "GO MAKE A BETTER ONE IF YOU CAN"

this is a free speech platform we can criticize stuff.

I think TB-3 would be able to carry out stand off strike as well as limited Anti ship role with KUZGUN family.

Does this look strong?
But do you know its specifications? You wanted counterarguments from Nutuk, so it is only fair that I want proper reasons from you.

How could anyone give you a counterargument if you base your argument on a photo and your feelings for Baykar, which you seem to have an unreasonable hatred for.

There is criticizing and starting a discussion as in saying "I wonder if these landing gears are strong enough" and then there is simply attacking Baykar (or any other company) by just saying they are making mistakes or have no clue what they are doing, don't have enough sense or technology to calculate or find the required knowledge.

TB3 will not be a CATOBAR aircraft. Anadolu will also not be a CATOBAR carrier. It will more likely have a more basic pulley with an external power source to operate it, maybe not even that. If it can generate enough power, it could just take off under its own power using the skijump. We don't know yet. As it has huge wings and it's pretty light, it also won't need high speed as we know from CATOBAR aircraft, at 140+knots for take off. Instead, that will be its cruise speed at best.

What's the stall speed of the TB2, anyone?
