We have realised that sub-forums are making it less convenient, especially for mobile users. Therefore each nation's forum will be collapsed into a single section. We know that not everyone will be happy with this decision, but we think that in general it is the best way to go.

Our members became familiar with the current form of the “country forum” section. This time, they will find opportunity to use it the other way. At the end, they will have a chance to make comparisons and we will draw a new roadway thanks to these feedbacks. I think This method is the best way to improve the forum in acc to requirements of users.

Yes, exactly! It may be time consuming for us to change it, however it's worth seeing the difference it makes.

Subforums were useful , i suppose the main forum "Nations" has made it harder for people.
The navigation bar is quite ok in PC,however in mobile it only shows one level back and this seems irrelevant of sub-forums.

It's also harder to navigate even on PC. Because if someone from a particular country wants to see the latest updates for their nation they need to watch a number of sub forums. Having everything on one page is so much more convenient.

However we will look for a method to distinguish army/airforce/naval posts.

Waiting to try it out.

I think sub-forum for some topics would be good. But the remaining odd threads that can’t be placed in a specific thread should be directly under the nation like now.

As an example to why. We have a few navy vessel threads and likewise with missiles. We’re going to have a few of these in the future as well. So to avoid having to stick all these threads it would be better with a sub-forum.

It's entirely feasible that we could implement something like that.

I think the best way would be combining the 2 ideas -

instead of using subforums, we should use sticky MEGA-threads about the nation forces and policies - so that the other threads about blabla could get "folded" or collapsed....

I love reading about our naval programs, but if we’re going to sticky all the awesome stuff going on that would be quite a list under the nation.

Istif, TF2000, U214, 76mm, diving vessel, LHD, Ada, midlife upgrades etc.

How does megathread work ?

Either we will need to combine separated threads into single one under name of "Naval programs" "Missile and Torpedoes" etc. the way we had it earlier( on the other side), or will go back to sub-forums.

In my opinion the way we had it in the first time was better, each nation has their own main forum and we could hide the forums which we were not interested in.
Now, when i am in turkish defence forum it is seen as:
Home - Nations -Turkish defence forum - all threads

Before it was:
Home - Turkish defence forum - Subforum - subforums's threads

both has 3 levels and second option seems better stacked and grouped

It looks really good now - but you should change one little thing -

the header is good - but the first sub-point is too big - it is a bit confusing to separate between all these forums ... a big header like now is fine, but the sub-point should be smaller, there should be more contrast

You're referring to the latest post below each nation's forum right? We will fix it soon.

I think that is fine, but i would suggest you to separate the forums and threads. Like in PDF there is a single page for all the threads and another forum page to view the diff. nations. The small feed we have now is not that great.
You guys had made a single page thread feed. But removed later.

All threads can be viewed by clicking the "What's new" button at the top. There are then a few options available depending on what type of list you want. Unless I'm confusing what you said with something else.

Just my personal opinion, the new order has made it harder to follow threads - developments in distinctive fields, and became more confusing (just the way PDF was).
For example, all naval programs are compressed in a single thread, the same will happen (or has happened) for missiles (which there is both land attack, AA missiles, anti -tank missiles etc) or land vehicles (tank-apc-IFV) as well and will be harder to follow developments in particular projects.
The sub-forums made it easier,

Yellow - Turkish defence forum
Red1 -Subforum 1
Red2 -Subforum 2 ...etc
Green line - end of Turkish defence forum, start of other nation's as a new Forum.

If you are OK with the current form, it is good to go. (y)

We need some kind subforum to gather all the relevant post and create better structure without going overboard
