According to Hensoldt, Sail Labs, which was founded in Vienna in 1999 - which reportedly employs around 30 people - is one of the world's leading providers of OSINT solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI). OSINT is the evaluation of all publicly available data, both on television, radio and surface web as well as in social media and on the deep web. The application from Sail Labs is said to be able to collect, index, analyze and visualize all this data.
A core element of the technology is therefore the automatic speech recognition and the associated data analysis in more than 30 original languages. Specific fields of application are the detection of false media reports or disinformation campaigns or the early identification of sources of danger for soldiers on duty. Another field of application is likely to be in police intelligence.“
