Azeri Language - question on our azeri brothers

Hi my dear brothers,

I have a simple question about azeri language..

if I watch all the videos of the conflict in Karabagh or just watch azerbaycani youtube channels its no problem to understand the language..

but here in germany as I said we have some azerbaycani in our town.. they can switch their language to a kind wich I do not understand (just saw it one time but my brothers told me they noticed it many times) its on such a degree I cant tell what language it is (just dont want to offend them or stay and ask there like a jerk)

is there any dialects in azeri wich would you discripe as extreem hard for turkish people?
