DHAKA, June 5, 2022 (BSS) - The inauguration ceremony of ATS Radar, Dhaka (Precision Approach Radar and Airport Surveillance Radar) and Martin Baker Ejection Seat Retrofit Facility took place at Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Base Bangabandhu here.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan was the chief guest at the inauguration programme, said a press release.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been patronizing Bangladesh Air Force by including modern equipment and installations to shape the air force as cherished by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the release added.

Through this programme, ATS Radar, Dhaka (PAR and ASR) has officially started their journey and Martin Baker Ejection Seat Retrofit Facility has been inducted in BAF.

The newly incorporated RP-5NG Precision Approach Radar and Morava 10 Airport Surveillance Radar from NRTS CZ would play a vital role in enhancing the safe take-off and landing capabilities of aircraft in the region.

With MB Ejection Seat Retrofit facility, the technical capacity of BAF would be enhanced.

From now onward the maintenance, repair and overhauling of MB ejection seats of F-7 series and K-8W aircraft would be possible by BAF technicians in dust free and temperature controlled environment.

On this auspicious occasion Principal Staff Officers and senior officers of Bangladesh Air Force were present.
