Brazil has to keep it until they find a proper tank or develop one.

We don't need to use then directly. Most of our terrain is irregular, not plain to ride along, Tanks need railways and logistic support and we barely invest at that point. The focus is distribuite an integrated defense with missilles and UAV's.

I think that light attack vehicles options will be needed even more. Maybe some better versions of EE9 - Cascavel (tank destroyer like the italian centauro but with less weight) also spenting less money to produce and maintain.

Brazil has lots of forests and jungles which is a nightmare for tanks. Interesting to see how the Brazilian army has evolved.

They also fought and won many wars in the past that earned its reputation as a South American powerhouse.
