YEI – South Sudan government allied forces have this morning again attacked a training centre hosting opposition forces of the main armed opposition group, the SPLM-IO, according to the official spokesman of the group.

Brigadier-General William Gatjiath Deng, the SPLA-IO spokesman told Sudans Post from the Sudanese capital Khartoum this morning that forces loyal to Major-General Moses Lokujo who defected to the SSPDF in September attacked their forces in a training centre in Kajo-Keji with the help of South Sudan People’s Defense Forces.

“This is to inform you that the SPLA-IO has this morning came under attack from forces of General Moses Lokujo aided by the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF),” General Gatjiath said.

The opposition officer said fighting was still going on and further called on the SSPDF in Juba to look into the issue with serious attention because this threatens collapse of the revitalized peace agreement.

“The SPLA-IO condemns this attack which is still going on and call on the government army in Juba to seriously resolve this continued aggression against the movement because it risk jeopardizing the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement,” he added.
