Under this thread, I hope to bring together the naval type short-range anti-missile point defense, anti-aircraft, anti-surface, and ground support capable medium caliber weapon systems that are under development by Turkish defense industry or already in active service that produced locally, and share up-to-date news as much as possible. As you know, there has been a very rapid expansion in this area, especially in recent months, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the news.

As an opening post, I will share some currently popular systems, and there will definitely be systems that I will forget. For this, I would be grateful if you could contribute to the thread bout missing points and later advances.

GÖKDENİZ CIWS along with 35 mm Airburst Ammunition (ATOM) developed by ASELSAN is a close-in weapon system (CIWS) highly effective against anti-ship missiles. The system with the Automatic Linkless Ammunition Feed Mechanism allows loading both HEI and Airburst Ammunition at the same time and switching between ammunition types as needed. In addition to anti-ship missiles, GÖKDENİZ is also effective against helicopters, fighters, UAVs and asymmetric surface naval threats.

Stabilized gun turret
Automatic Target Tracking with Integrated Tracking Platform including Tracking Radar and E/O Sensors
3-D Search Radar (Optional)
Combat Management System integration
Fully autonomous operation capability
High firing rate with 35 mm twin gun system (1100 rounds / min)
Ability to load both Airburst and HEI ammunition and switch between ammunition types with Automatic Linkless Ammunition Feed Mechanism (ALAFM)

Although the system is presented as a fixed installation air&land defense system, it was also referred to as like the single-barreled Gökdeniz at IDEF 21. The second image is of the model shown at IDEF 21.

General Features:
• Multi-purpose usage (land &air defense)
• Target detection and precise tracking with Independent Precision Stabilized Mechanism
• Adjustable Detecting/Tracking algorithms and gun firing speed for the target set (60-550 rounds/minute)
• Cost-effective “Linkless Ammunition Feeding Mechanism”
• Suitable for using with different 35mm ammunition types (TP-T, HEI,ATOM, ATOM-AntiUAV)
• Effective against targets behind obstacles
• High effective range
• -35 / + 95 degree movement capacity on the elevation axis

MKEK 20 mm close-in weapon system (Under development)
The system, which can fire 4,000 rounds per minute and has 6 rotating barrels, will serve as air defense system against anti-ship missiles, cruise missiles, helicopters, UAVs and aircrafts. The test firing footage of the system, which was first announced in 2020, were shared today.

ASELSAN 30 mm SMASH Remote Controlled Stabilized Naval Gun System (in service)
ASELSAN%2Bon%2BInstagram.png

SMASH is a remotely operated stabilized weapon station fitted with 30mm Mk44 Bushmaster-II Canon. SMASH configurations incorporate advanced features as remote operation, built-in electro-optic sensor system for autonomous operation, day and night operation, stabilized turret, automatic target tracking (detect, track and fire on the move) and ballistic computation.

System can be operated remotely by using the remote gun control unit and hence provides gunner protection against counter fire. Besides, SMASH System is capable of firing 200 rounds per minute with its dual feed 30mm automatic cannon.

ASELSAN 25 mm STOP Remote Controlled Stabilized Naval Gun System (in service)
Cob_TGWWIAAIKe_

STOP is a new generation, cost-effective, medium caliber weapon system for naval platforms fitted with 25mm KBA or 25mm M242 Bushmaster Automatic Canon. The system provides lightweight, versatile and effective means of force protection for applications ranging from capital ships to patrol craft. The high accuracy of STOP is achieved by using sophisticated stabilization algorithms and powerful servo drive/control system in both traverse and elevation enabling precision engagement on the target and fire execution under the coordination of a state-of-the-art fire control computer

No details, it's not even certain if it's even a real thing. Only a patent application.

Anyone have any ideas why they went with Canik's Unirobotics Targan for Hisar Class ships instead of the tried and tested STAMP/STOP/SMASH family?
