With the rationing of drought+fertilizer, it is expected that the production of agriculture in Europe will crash. The Russians still have a grain embargo. If the Western countries will encourage the withdrawal of billions of dollars companies from Turkey, we will have a much more effective weapon against them. I hope they will be aware of what they are up against before they turn against Turkey.

Unfortunately Turkish agriculture isn’t anywhere near EU standard. The draught and wrong usage of water is harming the soil in Turkey.

Turkey should have implemented a law requiring all farmers to get diploma BSc and such in agriculture or face having their lands be confiscated. Make the law and postpone enforcement 10 years in the future.

7 years of scarcity upon Europe would make them friendlier towards Türkiye. We don't want an exodus of pensioner refugees crossing Greek borders into Türkiye though. Good thing we are building enough dams to hold the water, way to go Türkiye.

Dams wont save anything, they can go dry too. Look at Lake Mead in the US.

If you are making more than just enough there is a good chance that they will be enough. There is also move towards making city building collect water that falls on them. The more the collector the safer. Rains will fall and Türkiye will have its buckets to fill. Reforestation is also on the rise in Türkiye as gas heats homes trees stay intact and forests grow further. Dams will also make climate milder further helping with adverse effects of climate change.

Drying of dams can only happen in Marmara-Akdeniz and Ege regions. It is not technically possible for dams to dry in Eastern Anatolia and Eastern Black Sea Region. Because the Eastern Black Sea Region is a very temperate region due to its nature. It rains constantly. Dams on top of it increase the precipitation rates in those regions. (due to the dense forest structure of the region) In Eastern Anatolia, there is enough snow for 6-7 months in some regions to close the roads.

So is Konya east or west Anatolia ?

For this, underground dams will be built. (English subtitle option is available in the video)
How about just forbidding the usage of wells/ underground water for agriculture business ?

have the government pump desalinated seawater through cleaning system up to dams in regions that use it to water fields. Enforce drip irrigation.

I am not so sure the underground dams, which probably are existing cavesystems of sorts, will work.

Another goal pass from Putin (this time out of necessity, because otherwise his actions would have had no effect, and would only have damaged his image)

Turkish ships leaving Ukrainian ports, escorted by the Turkish navy, will transport grain products to flour and pasta factories in TR. The processed products will be distributed all over the world, as well as raw products.

Turkiye is currently one of the world's largest grain producers. It also has open access to both Ukrainian and Russian grain.

The grain industry in Turkiye is the largest in the world. It is the world's largest flour exporter. The world's one of the biggest pasta exporter.

There is both raw material security and exporting companies have huge cost advantages. Turkiye can have more say in the pricing of grain products internationally, in near future. It is crucial that cereals/grains remain accessible in the fight against famine, and the Turkish food industry has a lot to offer in this regard.

The construction of 95 underground dams in Turkey has been completed so far. In this way, 31 thousand decares of agricultural land were irrigated. (31 million square meters)
20.1 million cubic meters of drinking water was obtained.
There are 40 underground dams in the construction phase, 11 in the tender phase and 100 in the planning phase.
