Air-Force First four upgraded RoCAF F-16s return to US

On 25 May 2021, four Republic of China Air Force (RoCAF, Taiwan Air Force) F-16AMs departed Hualien air base (Taiwan) with final destination Luke AFB (AZ) to take up residence with the 21st Fighter Squadron Gamblers ('LF').

The four F-16AMs, serials 6669, 6670, 6679 and 6690, departed in the early and stil dark hours at around 08:00 hrs (LT).

The upgraded aircraft will take up the positions left by the F-16As that returned to Taiwan on 13 May 2021. See the Scramble Magazine news item on the return of the first F-16s and the upgrade programme.
