HQ-19 is an Anti-Ballistic Missile Interceptor system. The system includes a solid phased array radar for early warning. It is reported that the X band phased array radar can detect targets at a distance of 4,000 km.

During the 2013 and 2014 interception tests, the Red Flag-19 missile successfully reproduced the situation of USA Standard 3 intercepting the USA-193 at that time. At a height of over 200 km, it approached a relative speed of 10,000 m / Intercept simulation of intercontinental missiles hit the target.

China is the champion of the world in production rate and speed.
They still rely on Russian and other engines for their fighters and aircraft though, so I wouldn't say their technical know-how is ahead of Russia. (Not yet at least)

Bro they used to rely on russian engines until they created the domestic ones. There are j20s and other fighters with chinese engines. İ don't underestimate their metallurgy and electronic know how .

A real world power!
Only with all the kinds of engines needed for a nation's defence industry to be independent.
Don't forget Chinese uses brute force to unlock a technology :)
They typically hire x10-x50 personnel on projects compared to west or Russia.
I personally have seen they were doing an optimization by assigning improvisation project to 5 different fully set-up teams for a simple stuff.

Yet,with all the capabilities/possiblities/funding/intelligence etc,they still use Russian engines/technology.
So,whats wrong here?

That is what i wonder too.
Corruption?
Corruption like, not solely on money but to get credit and get promoted higher in the party just as happened in Soviets?

In many areas, yes.

In the defence industrial and aerospace sector, perhaps not.

The CAIC Z-10 attack helicopter is reported to have been designed by Kamov design bureau.

Recent purchases of S-400 SAM and Su-35 fighter jets by the Chinese are strong evidence of which country has a more advanced defence sector.

Putin also promised to provide China with an early warning radar network against ballistic missile attacks.

No microprocessor with indigenous Instruction Set Architecture from China yet, from what has been revealed.

No operating systems as of yet.

No analogue of Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles.

I suppose you get a good idea.

China is ahead, by a good margin, in civilian industry, manufacturing, savings, investment, business ties and generally, keeping its head low when the US bullied it (under Trump) or when it failed, after repeated attempts, to dislodge, dismember, devastate, eviscerate, eliminate, crush a smaller ethnically "Indian" country in the form of Republic of India.

If we compare, let's say, Taiwan and Sri Lanka since those two regions also happen to be similar in population sizes, and one of them is East Asian (ethnically Han Chinese, largely from nearby Fujian province but also from elsewhere in China) and the other is South Asian (with ethnic Tamils among them, who are fully Indian, as well as Sinhalese who share ethnic, religious, cultural and historic ties with India), I believe the results would not be favourable for the latter.

All of us may be aware of the world famous TSMC, UMC and other pure play foundries from Taiwan. Many of us may have heard of Acer, Asus, MediaTek, RealTek, Delta Electronics and numerous other suppliers in the high tech electronics sector.

Less well known may be its machinery industries clustered around Taichung, its attempts at developing aerospace, biotech, EV and other industries.

If we compare with Sri Lanka, the different could not be more stark.

The same exercise could be carried out for other countries with ethnically Indian, or related, populations and with ethnically Chinese, or related, populations at your leisure.

There is not much to be added since the information provided is self-explanatory. Members and lurkers are of course free to decide for themselves.
