Getting outraged about irrelevant things in foreign policy (i.e. one individual burning a religious book), that's the perfect pre-election storm. Perfectly orchestrated thanks to Russia and the government by utilizing the situation.

Turkey should never allow Sweden to join NATO
So they will keep burning the most religious book in Turkey on the most religious day, Friday, until Turkey allows Sweden to join NATO? Wow! It feels as If Turkey is the one asking for help and not Sweden
He's gonna get got before that happens.Wooow

I don't think most of us here care if this clown burns a religious book. He can do it everyday if he wants to. But I think Erdogan should use this opportunity wisely.Guys we need to keep our cool.
You surely must realize that those are provocateurs who cheap agitate Turkish people by hitting their soft spot.
They know they’re desperate and no other NATO member can help them. Their only access option is satisfying Turkey’s rightful security concerns.
That’s what’s driving them so crazy.
I don't care about this to such an extent, if they were to strap a don't care-o-meter to me it would explode.Wooow

I think he should be condemned individually for his action, given he is a political figure and doing such unspeakable thing to achieve a political goal involving Turkey as he stated already.Getting outraged about irrelevant things in foreign policy (i.e. one individual burning a religious book), that's the perfect pre-election storm. This is very disheartening. It shows how little educated we are and how vulnerable we are to the common populism. The racist idiot Paludan is taking up the whole public attention and treated like a golden goose while the real problems are swept under the carpet. We were in the right to keep Sweden out of NATO but by giving so much voice to the "Quran burning" we're losing our ground. Even in the small city I live, the municipality invited all citizens to the town square to "condemn the despicable(alçakça) act of Sweden's burning of our holy-book" today. They're gonna milk this cow for God knows how long. While, the real foreign policy discussion should be about YPG/PKK related security concerns.

not sold, leased by private companies.. google for wet lease, dry lease in aviation industryHijacked lol
Americans sold that shit to them.
Mind you it was the Americans who gave the coordinates to the Russians which got Dudayev killed.
After the Soviets collapsed who made the Russians recover at least to an extent its the Americans.
Americans cant decide who we get to trade with since they work with terrorists and prop proxies.
Turkiye actually closed the Bosphorous to the Russians before the war the West critised the Turks for getting too close to Ukraine because they believed we were destabilising the region by selling weapons to the Ukrainians.
Nobody should believe the Americans and their hypocrisy.
I do agree with people who say Russia needs to be hit hard. We should not be too soft with them while at the same time we cant trust the Americans.
I wonder if you did passed by them. This is very disheartening. It shows how little educated we are and how vulnerable we are to the common populism. What's the solution? Having no principals, nothing worth raising your voice for, no values you'd defend, no red lines, no self-respect, no identity?Getting outraged about irrelevant things in foreign policy (i.e. one individual burning a religious book), that's the perfect pre-election storm. You are right, but protest and demonstration should be done by civil society in a peaceful and civilized manner. Usually, shouting and ranting at 'them' or burning flags doesn't get us anywhere and only makes matter worse. What's the solution? Being pragmatic is a necessity of a modern foreign policy in order to gain power.
Being pragmatic doesn't mean being totally arbitrary to any attack on ourselves.
This is bullshit. Probably funded by some shady NGO.A recent study by metropoll showing the opinions of different coting bases on Sweden's NATO membership
This data does support my initial claims that the CHP seems to have made some sort of deal with the West in case they won which explains why Sweden was so entusiastic for the delaying of the talks post 2023
Another sign that the iYi is just a facade of a party meant to split the AKP votes to solidify the possibility of a CHP win
Truly the 2023 presidential elections will set the course of the country for the next 20 years at least and oh boy is it going to be a pure fqery with the current CHP. I truky hope they dont win since the deals that they made behind the table will 100% cripple Turkey at this rate
Why cant there be a decent politician in the country

Would you say the samething when they burn the Turkish flag or Ataturk?
Allowing them to burn something which you see as sacred gives them a blank cheque to burn whatever you hold dear.

Yes I would say the same. Foreign policy is not something that should be dictated by the actions of some random guy burning whatever or saying whatever.
Otherwise, in a world full of people that think like you do, I'll go and burn a German flag in front of the embassy in Kiev tomorrow and boom have stopped German supplies to Ukraine.
