What I heard is that S400 to UEA and Qatar is on the table . Russia is bullish on the issue and wants to buy back its own system from the UAE or Qatar. It is likely that we are selling S400 back to Russia in a complex roundabout way, not to hurt relations with Ukraine.

honestly i think the common people in Turkiye are too numb to care about it. It may go down somewhere but i don't think most of the nation will ever remember it.

But i do think it goes to add weight to my argument that this s400 purchase was about syria, trying to gain favour with russia while at the same time telling the americans to back off or they risk losing Turkiye over their support of the YPG. Obviously we know how that went.

RIYADH/KARACHI/ANKARA, Aug 7 - Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey signed a joint defence agreement in Mecca on Friday, wedding Sunni Muslim U.S. allies alarmed at a regional conflagration that has rained missile fire onto Gulf oil exporters.
Iran and its allies have been firing on Saudi Arabia and other Gulf ‌states, and blockading their energy shipments, since the U.S. and Israel attacked it on February 28 in a major escalation after years of regional tumult.

The agreement is intended to strengthen collective deterrence against any act of aggression and stipulates that an armed attack against any of the three would be regarded as an attack on all, they said in a joint statement.
While the statement did not give specifics on the commitments or obligations each had accepted under the "Mecca Joint Defence Agreement", it said the pact was aimed at strengthening their collective security and promoting peace, security and stability in the region and beyond.

"The pact includes a collective defence clause. It is purely defensive in nature, pledging mutual support only for defence," a Turkish official said. The agreement was not directed against any specific actor, was open to other regional countries, and did not abrogate or replace ⁠any existing bilateral or multilateral arrangements, the official added.
However, the three nations are particularly concerned by the increasingly aggressive military stances of both Israel and revolutionary Shi'ite Iran, as their longtime U.S. ally struggles to contain regional upheaval.

POWERFUL POLITICAL SYMBOLISM​

"The political symbolism of the summit is significant. Three of the Muslim world's most influential states are convening at a moment of heightened uncertainty, demonstrating a growing willingness among regional and middle powers to coordinate more closely on security matters," said Abdulaziz Sager, chairman of the Gulf Research Center, a Saudi-based think tank.
"If institutionalised and translated into concrete cooperation, the trilateral framework could strengthen the three countries' collective diplomatic and defense weight while contributing to the emergence of a more regionally driven security architecture," Sager added.

Perhaps but Israel has been threatening Turkiye in collaboration with Greece and similarly india has declared Israel as their "fatherland ". There are numerous articles on how Israel will help india to destroy Pakistan nuclear weapons. So we have to wait and see how this trilateral agreement works.

I'll agree that collab between Pakistan and Türkiye is mutually beneficial. The Saudi's on the other hand I don't trust a single bit. I don't care how much money they offer.

This agreement is just another shield that is created by Israel and the US to protect them from any future conflict with Iran

Saudi Arabia is allowing the US forces to use it's bases and airspace to attack Iran , in which it make Saudi a co-conspirator with the war against Iran , so why would Turkey and Pakistan risk war for someone who do that ?

Also I don't understand the Pakistani and Turkish mentality, a war with Iran means a massive threat at it's borders while Saudi is way far from Iran !!
