For the 2021 GHI report, data were assessed for 135 countries. Out of these, there were sufficient data to calculate 2021 GHI scores for and rank 116 countries (by way of comparison, 107 countries were ranked in the 2020 report). For 19 countries, individual scores could not be calculated and ranks could not be determined owing to lack of data. Where possible, these countries were provisionally designated by severity: 1 country is designated as low, 1 as moderate, 6 as serious, and 4 as alarming. For 7 countries, provisional designations could not be established (see Provisional Hunger Severity Designations).

40 years ago, around 750 million Chinese lived in absolute poverty , accounting for half of the world total. Now China has zero, if the west has to wear a genocide crown onto China's head, this is the one. A total and absolute genocide of poverty.

Impressive. It's distressing to see Pakistan at 92 and economic superpower India at 101.

economic superpower India at 101.
This must be a mistake. Exactly how can a economic superpower with $20 trillion and third largest economy on earth come at 101st seems absurd. Perhaps some economists can explain this.

This must be a mistake.

All boils down to how countries measure themselves internally. Qualitatively and quantitatively.

North Korea can simply measure what it wants for example. The remote sensing countries can do (that require brainpower and organisation) tell quite a different picture....regarding the level of outright concentration camp starvation.

It is an extreme case....that nonetheless shows the extreme on a spectrum. The rest becomes an exercise of political and media selectivism.

It is why I prefer data (for comparing between countries) that actually are hard vetted between those countries (i.e both agree rather than rely on internal bureaucracts and "institutions").

That is when folks like @F-6 enthusiast et al that hit a like easily.....have a hard time discussion wise.
