INS Dunagiri (the 5th Nilgiri-class firgate), INS Sanshodhak (the 4th & final Sandhayak-class survey ship) and INS Agray (the 4th Arnala-class ASW craft & the 5th overall of the ASW-SWC order) seen together at GRSE, Kolkata prior to commissioning on 21 June:
The 4 x ships of the new 3300-ton Sandhayak-class were built under Survey Vessel (Large) or SV(L) program to replace 8 x of the original 1900-ton Sandhayak-class built in the 1980s, 3 x of which have already been decommissioned.
6 x more survey ships are to be procured under the upcoming Next-Gen Survey Vessel (NGSV) program, so these 10 x surveyors will form the core of the fully renewed hydrographic fleet.

NEW DLEHI: The Indian Navy foiled a piracy attempt in the Gulf of Aden on Wednesday night after warship INS Trikand swiftly responded to a distress call from a merchant vessel carrying critical cargo for India, according to sources.

I'm not sure but I suppose this is the 1st FSS under construction:
Keel of the first ship was laid down in November 2024 so this much progress is to be expected after close to 2 years. The 2nd & 3rd hulls were laid down at L&T's yard, not HSL, so this has to be the 1st hull.
4th hull has to be laid down this year, 5th one may be possible toward end-2026 or likely next year.
