the capacity of an ar 15-based infantry rifle is known. Mkek production is evident in the results obtained by Mpt 76 in the Pakistani tender. I think Mke should design a new mechanism. This mechanism should give at least as successful results as the new type 6.8 mm Xm5 infantry rifles.

Medium caliber barrels, which are localized by ASELSAN Konya and will provide fire support for different platforms, were introduced for the first time at SAHA EXPO.

ASELSAN Konya, which develops weapon systems within the Turkish defense industry, exhibited the localized 40 mm light automatic grenade launcher, 30 mm light electrically actuated automatic cannon, 30 mm electrically actuated automatic cannon and 35 mm electrically actuated automatic cannon at SAHA EXPO organized by SAHA Istanbul.

President of the Presidency of Defense Industries, İsmail Demir, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that ASELSAN established ASELSAN Konya with businessmen from Konya and said that the company operates for the localization of new and foreign systems.

Emphasizing that the products on display show that the works are progressing step by step and some of them have matured, Demir said, “When the qualification processes are completed, they will be ready to enter the inventory. Good luck to our country and our army.” said.

“We want our soldiers to be comfortable”

Bülent Işık, Member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of ASELSAN Konya, stated that they have put the systems they have been working on for a long time to the service of the country.

Stating that the weight of the 40 mm grenade launcher is half that of its equivalents, Işık said, “Logistically, it is a product that can be transported more easily. In operational terms, we want our units, institutions and soldiers to be comfortable and spend their energy in the right place. We are working in this direction.” he said.

Noting that the prototype verification work of the 30/113 mm helicopter nose gun has been completed, Işık said that they will start real model production and tests in the coming days.

Stating that there is a 30/173 mm cannon among the products developed, Işık said, “Their features are weapon systems purchased from abroad. By producing these locally, we eliminate our dependence on abroad. These are electric-propelled guns rather than conventional. A new generation weapon systems that eliminates some problems and contaminations caused by ammunition under normal conditions.” said.

Emphasizing that the 35 mm gun came from the field with the smell of gunpowder and oil, Işık stated that the qualification shots were made.

Işık noted that with the product family in question, the country's need for medium-caliber weapons will be largely resolved.

Bülent Işık added that they will conduct an intensive testing process for the remainder of this year and 2023 for the qualification of weapon systems.

With a diameter of 5.56mm, the KNG-C5 gun is described as a 'personal defense weapon (PDW)'. The KNG-C5, which will have semi and fully automatic firing modes, has a length of 735mm with the stock open. The KNG-C5, which will have a length of 660mm with its stock closed, also allows shooting in this way.

The KNG-C5 PDW, with an curb weight of 2.8 kilograms, is equipped with a 7.5″ barrel and a magazine with a capacity of 20 or 30 cartridges. The KNG-C5 PDW, which has a throw speed of 700 m/s, will have an effective range of 300 meters. The rifle, which allows the use of silencer for supersonic and subsonic ammunition, is compatible with all kinds of AR-15 accessories.

On the other hand, the KNG-C5 PDW is designed for ambidextrous use. For this purpose, both sides of the gun have a magazine drop latch, a bolt latch and a crown.

Personal Defense Weapon, they should sell to civilians.

Also note that Canik keep trying to push the envelope of what is available to civilians especially because they cater to the US market and want to do a similar job in Türkiye. Despite the many rejections they get from the authorities they will finally be able to sell threaded barrels and muzzle rise compensators to Turkish civilians, hopefully.

A version with a longer barrel should be procured for paratroopers of 1st Kayseri. They are still running with cold war era stuff, hk33 and rpg 7. I don't know why MSB doesn't care about their paratroopers their equipment is scandalous even poor SE asia countries have equiped their paratroopers with the most modern rifles and atgm.

if you talking about the 1 commando unit in Kayseri then they should be equipped with the kale rifles such as KCR-556/762. HK-33 has always been the standard infantry assault rifle but will be replaced by the MPT-76-
