Have a safe trip: A soldier stands guard at Bundaran HI MRT station in Central Jakarta on Friday. The government has deployed Indonesian Military (TNI) and National Police personnel to monitor the implementation of health protocols at 1,800 public facilities in four provinces and 25 regencies and cities. (JP/Dhoni Setiawan)

The government has increased the deployment of police and military personnel to improve compliance with health protocols as the nation struggles to control the rising number of COVID-19 cases and deaths.

Its not nearly enough. We have approximately 270 million of people to watch over.

To be honest, i dont think my govt has done everything that they could to prevent the spreading of the virus.

The fines and punishment is not severe enough to make people scared. A lot of my fellow countrymen are still not obeying the safety and health protocols implemented by the govt. They simply dont care. Even after they witness by themself the amount of graveyard that has to be dug in everyday to bury the dead.

Its sad.

Most of stations has their own security personnel already and the numbers are not a few, speaking for KRT and TransJakarta, also MRT had tons of personnel to welcome and guide people (such a reduncacy of personnel in MRT -LRT)

It is easy to look over people,in fact , with the existing personnel but guess government felt the urgency of taking some initiatives on their own.
To be honest in most of countries the government intends to look as " doing something, doing my part" , just to be seen so.
There are too many people living in suburbs, and mainly under educated it is impossible to make those people obey to those.
Moreover, people in rural area is already safe in my opinion, the disease spreads because of city people.
You can not follow each individual at some point the society should develop a self control to maintain itself.

True. The spread happened mostly in the city.

Still we do have cases in the suburbs as well. I am currently living in the suburbs, thats why ive said what i said. I have first hand experience.

I can only hope the govt implement something more like what the singaporean govt did. It would make people more cautious and obey the rules more.
