A total of 20 Mitsubishi F-2 multirole fighter aircraft assigned to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force’s (JASDF’s) 8th Squadron took part in an ‘elephant walk’ at Tsuiki Air Base, Fukuoka Prefecture, on 19 April.
The event was held to mark to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the squadron, which is part of the JASDF’s 8th Air Wing. According to Janes World Air Forces, the squadron currently operates F-2A and F-2B fighter, as well as T-4 training aircraft from the base.
