It's probably like Israeli UAV specs - that's the max altitude with no optics or weapons, quarter fuel fraction and flying with the wind, and then rounded up to the nearest 5k. Turkish UAV specs tend to be more realistic because they're based on TSK's requirements. That's how Baykar and TAI can show videos proving the specced performance.

You’re right. The MQ-9 for example can reach 50k feet but in clear configuration. But fully loaded it usually operates near 30k feet.

They have been exaggerating the israeli's drones for years .. i dunno why .. turkey now is superior to israel with drones industry .. but israel is superior in the term of EO systems which are the main sensor of the drones

Israel is excellent in developing IIR sensors. However, Israel has only just recently developed an E/O with a common aperture (SPECTRO XR) capability, while Aselsan has had CATS for some time now with CATS-II due to make an appearance soon.

We are catching up fast in IIR sensor development!

Even for SPECTRO XR they aren't using direct drive servos, so Turkey is definitely going to be way ahead in the coming years !

The TPE331-10 used on the MQ-9 has a power output of 940 hp, 200 more hp compared to a single PT6A-135A engine used on the Akinci B. So totally doable.
Yes, that means akinci has total of 1500hp and mq9 has 940hp.
Ofcourse wing area weight and altitude power may affect max altitude, i just do not see any convincing argument.
Thats why some countries which operates western drones came to TEI to test engines in altitude bench.

Diving with max payload will give maximum speed.
But he burned some of his fuel so a little less then the maximum speed in this case.

It is saying max payload but what i see is 2 mark82 bomb with teber guidance kit which should be 300 kgs each. It does not seem to be max payload. What do i miss as external payload?

Akıncı-B took of with 2x Teber Mk82 and 1xMk84.

British mod canceled the Mosquito wingman program. There are rumors that Brits want to cooperate with Turkiye on a wingman project.

That means it is almost 2tons of external payload and even more with some standart internal payload. 2,2 to 2,5tons of payload at 30kft is where akinci b hits its limit. Thats good.

At what altiude is the important thing here.If with that much payload your altitude drops to manpands level there is no point.Last tweet they shared there were only one MK-48(close 1 ton) and altitude in video was 30.000 feet which is standart MALE altitude level.

Not mention Akinci's expected max payload supposed be 1.200 to 1.500 KG at start of project.I dont think your 2+ ton payload capacity is realistic.

So you mean structurally it is not feasible and high power rating is only to reach higher altitudes.
Because akinci a is already tested with neb84 and there was 1,3 tons of payload during flight.

That's a weird rumour, why would Brits cooperate with Turkey when they can work with Australia on the MQ-28 Ghost Bat. Australia a country which is within the Commonwealth of Nations.

Simple, they can get more from Turkey.

MQ-28 has 2 prototypes that fly. It is being produced by a giant named Boeing. If the UK joined that project at this stage they will have less share in that project. Commonwealth or not, states follow their interest.

Baykar will complete Kızılelma this year. It has to take off and land on a carrier, which is something that Turkey has never done before. This means the UK has more to put into these projects and eventually they can get a much bigger share.

Also, Turkey has problems with the EU and the USA. This makes Turkey ideal for the UK to pull its side. Why should they refuse to turn the Turkish Airforce from US-dominated to British-dominated (equipment-wise)?
