Turkey made a huge mistake by helping overthrowing Gaddafi, he was pro Turkey. France did you dirty on this .

Gaddafi has himself to blame.

When he started backing Pkk terrorists is when Turkiye started to pull out any kind support for him.

Gaddaffi brought upon himself. By pissing everybody off.

Paranoid idiot believed the Turks of Libya were going to overthrow him.

In addition to being the largest cotton and wool producer in the European continent, Turkiye is also Europe's largest textile manufacturer, including many French brands. So, if the turtleneck sweater era is going to start in France, even this will be related to TR in a way.

Joking aside, what is going on in the country where France supplies NPP fuel, and what Turkiye is achieving there now, so when we just look at the another technical part of the issue, we cannot reach any conclusion other than finding a basis for that the biggest absurdity in French foreign policy is to conflict with Turkish interests.

First time I hear that Gaddafi supported the PKK. Unnecessary but not surprising.

He mentioned kurdistan and said that the Turks are oppressors.

The man was an idiot.

He sent arms and funding to pkk that was already enough to break the camels back.

Gaddafi was a demagogue skilled in distorting ethical principles and instrumentalizing them into his pragmatic agenda. There were dangerous rhetorics as well as beneficial steps for Turkiye. he was even among the actors of a government crisis in Turkiye in the 90s.

In addition, as Mr. Ryder stated above, it was the period when the most systematic studies were conducted on the Arabization of the Turk(Kuloğlu) presence in Libya. A very important part of the Libyan demographic has Ottoman Turkish-Berber ties, which was in fact as large as the Arab presence in Libya.

While many ethnic elements such as Turkish Arab Circassian Berber etc. in North Africa formed a common identity under the umbrella of Islam, this situation changed especially in the 20th century. The Libyan Turkish society could not resist this new paradigm either.

Also have ties with the Senussis.

Omar Mukhtars son talked about how his dad fought under Enver Pasha and Ataturk.

I heard that Gaddafi did horrible things, but this is the first time i hear that he supported Pkk! What i know that he was pro Turkey in its conflict with Greece. In 2010 Turkish-Libyan relations were at their best and they were in negotiations about maritime borders Berlusconi and Erdogan were his best allies he even awarded Erdogan many awards in 2010 but then after one year Erdogan turned and changed his position completely.
However strategically overthrowing him was a big mistake, especially for Turkey. Dealing and negotiating with one person is way better than the current chaos.

Relations started to improve in 2010 until the Libyan civil war.

Too little too late unfortunately but we still did not take part in the nato operations.

Gaddafi was an unreliable-mixed bag. Helped us with F16 spare parts when the embargoes came but at the same time voices some support for the PKK. Could have been a useful dictatorship and mostly was, Turkish construction companies earned billions in their projects in Libya.

Next step is a Naval base in Libya, if we are going to search for hydrocarbon fields. Arming it with decend ships.

It doesnt matter if they are against us, if you want a share of the cake you should go for it, as you can see might is right. We lost 2 years to talk with Egypt. What did we get from them, they are trying to win time and trying tooverthrow the goverment mean time.

Last time England navy was in Libya, for wtf? If you are not presence somebody else will take your place. Western world do not want us to use the oil rich Mediterrean Sea, even our EEZ with Greece.

For France, the problem is not just hydrocarbons. There is a logistics master plan that will enable Misrata to become central africa's gateway to the world. Historically, Misrata is an Ottoman commercial city, and culturally/ethnically, it still maintains strong ties with Turkiye. Today, it is the country's most important maritime trade city. The master plan you see below was supported not only by the Tripoli and Misrata aşirets, but also by the UK politically. It seems that this plan is now under the protection of Turkiye.

When this project is realized, Libya will become a driving factor not only in its own resources but also in the trade of neighboring/regional countries. Therefore, the stabilization of the region poses a problem for the countries that fall outside of this plan.

One of the most important issues showing that this project is supported by Turkiye is the situation of the Misrata port and Turkiye's investments and settlement in this region. The fact that Turkiye has not announced that it has established a Turkish naval base in the old port does not mean that it does not exist. There are not only ports but also projects in terms of maritime trade security, and the current OPV project is also related to Libya in a way.

It is 100% compatible with Turkish interests that Libya strengthens, freely and resolutely increases its importance in the geopolitics of the Mediterranean and is able to protect its rights against European forces. The Turkish people are supporters of the Libyan people and raising them to this position will be a concerted effort in terms of our socio-cultural and historical responsibility.

*

We move from the exploited Africa to the -equal Africa- age. This will also provide to emerge the "century of Africa". All the factors that do not want Africa to reach this power, especially France, have a similar attitude towards Turkiye. Therefore, it is important to keep our ties with Africa based on common interests strong, in order to be able to fight this struggle together and not leave any of our brothers behind.

There next step could be signing a counter-agreement with the Bashagha government, qataris are marketing him in their media. Turkey should pay attention to Qatar's alliance with France, which is starting to grow. When Algeria closed its airspace, France started using Qatari C17 planes to avoid the closure. Smart move tbh

Egyptians still believe we did not take Sirte or Al Jufra because of the "mighty" Egyptian army 🤣

Somebody tells these people to come to reality.
