US-led coalition says only one Iraqi CH-4 UAV fully operable

"The CH-4 is not the only problematic UAV type in Iraq’s inventory. The inspector general report cited CJTF-OIR as saying the fleet of more than 10 US-made Insitu ScanEagle UAVs flew only two sorties between 1 March and 30 June because of a “combination of Iraqi training in the United States, a lapse in maintenance contracts, and problems with signal interference”.

Chinese export UAVs suck the best ones were the Emirati WL-1s which had an Israeli EO/IR and Thales datalink.

Reach-S will likely replace those in the future.

Anka has completed 100 thousand hours in the air.
During it’s journey the Tusas’s bird has evolved and become a mature and dependable UCAV in it’s class. It’s flight ceiling, payload capacity and engine has gone through serious improvements and changes.
It has helped give birth to Aksungur too!

Who is behind the story with which intention?

I posted the story as it happened. Left leaning media such as netzpolitik started the research, and it ended up on German state media, but there's nothing they can do since Hensoldt is selling through the South African subsidiary.

Ukrainian UAV Bayraktar TB2 attacked by unknown electronic warfare in Donbass

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing problems with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Bayraktar. Unknown complexes of electronic warfare (EW) interfere with the control of attack UAVs.

It is reported that the Ukrainian military, after the successful use of Bayraktar in Donbass, is now unable to reconnoiter the situation on the line of contact. The drone operators lose control when Bayraktar flies up to the contact line at a distance of 5-10 kilometers.

Employees of the Avia.pro portal, referring to unnamed sources, report that the work of the Bayraktar UAV is facing a retaliatory attack from unknown electronic warfare agents. Such suppression was recorded in certain sectors of the airspace on the contact line in Donbass. It is noted that the monitoring services for the flights of aircraft also show a picture similar to a targeted fight against Ukrainian drones. The maps show the takeoff of the UAV, its flight to the contact line, and then a sharp turn and return to base. Official information from the Armed Forces of Ukraine or representatives of the DPR and LPR has not yet been received.

Earlier it became known that the Ukrainian UAV Bayraktar was attacked in the DPR.

There could be electronic warfare but should be verified by Bayraktar specialists. There are many claims, we simply cannot take all of them for granted.

avia-pro a hardcore pro-Russian source quoted by another single-man pro-russian overseen blog like news website.

source: "Trust me bro, unnamed sources".

Meanwhile TB2s are likely collecting EW profiles of some old algorithm systems to counter-jam them later or pick up with ease and target with MAM-Ls / Grads.

Probably a counter story to this;

An attempt to hijack a Turkish-made drone flying over Karabakh ended with the destruction of a Russian ground surveillance system that belonged to Armenia, according to reports.

Several reports circulating in Russian media claimed that an unidentified military unit tried to seize control of the globally lauded Bayraktar TB2 combat UAV operated by the Azerbaijani army with the help of Russia's 1L222M Avtobaza-M system.

However, the killer drone destroyed the Russian-made surveillance system after it picked up on the interference and foiled the attempted hijacking.

Over the course of the 44-day Karabakh war, several electronic warfare systems were also destroyed by Turkish-made drones.

Russia had previously claimed that the Avtobaza-M radio surveillance system boasts a 100 percent success rate in hijacking, destroying or successfully landing enemy UAVs in a designated area.

Relations between the former Soviet republics of Armenia and Azerbaijan have been tense since 1991 when the Armenian military occupied Nagorno-Karabakh, also known as Upper Karabakh, a territory internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan, and seven adjacent regions.

During a subsequent 44-day conflict which ended under a deal signed Nov. 10, 2020, Azerbaijan liberated several cities and nearly 300 settlements and villages from Armenian nearly three-decade occupation.

The cease-fire is seen as a victory for Azerbaijan and a defeat for Armenia, whose armed forces withdrew in line with the agreement.

Turkey’s combat drones had reportedly destroyed the Russian-made Pantsir missile systems in Syria, Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh, as Ankara’s deployment of UAVs was credited for the victories clinched by Turkey’s allies from Asia to Africa.

The Bayraktar TB2 armed UAV, which was developed and manufactured by Turkish defense company Baykar Technologies, has been used by the Turkish Armed Forces and the country’s Security Directorate since 2015, most recently credited for Azerbaijan’s military success in the Karabakh conflict.
