ALGIERS - The Moroccan regime, through its involvement in the assassination of three Algerian nationals, by barbarically bombarding their trucks on the Nouakchott-Ouargla axis, will have reached the paroxysm of its direct and indirect provocations against Algeria and crossed, with its usual impudence, a spiral of tension, which risks opening the way to all eventualities, but the price of which will be paid dearly.

The wisdom and clairvoyance of the Algerian state have been able to maintain diplomatic relations with the Moroccan neighbor, despite the dark history of treason that the royal court drags behind it. Since Algeria's independence in 1962, the Moroccan regime has gone too far to the point of committing atrocious and cowardly crimes against Algerian civilians that will not go unpunished.

By perpetrating a "cowardly" terrorist act, the Moroccan regime will have played all its cards and confirmed to international public opinion its practices relating to "state terrorism".

Qualifying this aggression as a "barbaric bombardment", the Presidency of the Republic Tebboune affirmed, in a press release, that "several factors indicate the Moroccan occupying forces in Western Sahara as having committed this cowardly assassination with sophisticated weapons".

The assassination of the three Algerian nationals by "a barbaric bombardment of their trucks, while they were making the Nouakchott-Ouargla link, in a natural movement of trade between the peoples of the region is a new manifestation of brutal aggression which is characteristic of a known policy of territorial expansion and terror ", underlines the press release.

"The Algerian authorities immediately took the necessary steps to investigate this despicable act in order to elucidate the circumstances surrounding it," said the press release from the Presidency, insisting that the assassination of the three Algerians at the time when the Algerian people celebrated the 67th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious National Liberation Revolution, "will not go unpunished".

However, Algeria which decided, on August 24, 2021, to sever its diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Morocco, refuses any mediation or any attempt at rapprochement between the two countries, because we cannot put on the same footing of equality, "the aggressor and the attacked", as underlined by the President of the Republic during an interview with the national press.

Faced with the confusion and recklessness of a regime which seems to ignore the balance of power and which has failed to establish new fictitious geostrategic alliances, "Algeria knows well what wars cost, because it has millions of chouhada. We are a resistant people who do not seek war, but rather peace. However, those who seek war ... whoever attacks us will regret it bitterly, "President Tebboune warned.

"It is historically and objectively established that the kingdom of Morocco has never ceased to carry out hostile, unfriendly and malicious actions against our country, and this since the independence of Algeria. This animosity, of which the systematic, methodical and premeditated and documented character had begun with the war of aggression opened in 1963, a fratricidal war started against Algeria ", declared the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Community abroad, Ramtane Lamamra during the announcement of the severance of diplomatic relations with Morocco.

In 1976, Morocco "brutally severed diplomatic relations with Algeria which, along with a few other countries, had sovereignly recognized the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic", recalled the head of Algerian diplomacy.

The Kingdom of Morocco has made its national territory a diplomatic franchise and a bridgehead to plan, organize and support a series of hostile and characterized actions against Algeria. The most recent relate to the senseless accusations and thinly veiled threats made by the Zionist Foreign Minister on an official visit to Morocco and in the presence of his Moroccan counterpart who was clearly the instigator of such unjustifiable remarks.

These hostile actions also concern the active and documented collaboration of the Kingdom of Morocco with two terrorist organizations known as MAK and RACHAD, whose latest heinous crimes are linked to their premeditated involvement in the fires that ravaged several wilayas of the country and in the torture and death. abject assassination of the late Djamel Bensmail.

The no less serious case of the Pegasus scandal brought to light the massive and systematic espionage to which Algerian officials and citizens targeted by Moroccan intelligence services were subjected.

A declared war, unacknowledged objectives

Faced with all these provocations, Algeria, which expressed its refusal of the fait accompli principle and unilateral policies with disastrous repercussions on the Maghreb peoples, took several decisions, in particular the termination of commercial relations between Sonatrach and the Moroccan Office of electricity and drinking water
(ONEE), the termination of the Maghreb Europe Gas Pipeline (GME) contract which supplied Spain via Morocco, and the closure of its airspace to all Moroccan civil and military aircraft.

Cornered by Algerian measures whose effects have started to be felt internally, the Moroccan regime had no other choice than to resort to "blatant relentlessness" and "an abject attack", after "failure bitter "of its propagandist campaign and its hostilities towards Algeria.

The review El Djeich had underlined in its editorial of October 3 that "these hostilities and others such as the destructive propaganda emanating from Moroccan officials intervened in reaction to" the firm and unwavering position of principle of Algeria on the need for a just solution to the Sahrawi question ".

he publication further emphasizes that "Algeria, strong in its people and its army, would in no way renounce its deeply rooted principles. This takes place at a time when there is no longer any doubt that Algeria would not be the object of such hostile and concentrated attacks if it did not have the force factors ".

With his back to the wall, the Makhzen tries to hide the terror that is gnawing at him by carrying out rash operations. A terror illustrated by continuous demonstrations for several months in large cities to protest against the degradation of the socioeconomic situation and human rights in Morocco.

This November, another tension drives the point home, namely the protest movement of unions in the education sector. The unions of lawyers and health practitioners will, in turn, have to pound the pavement next week.

The Moroccan occupier continues to commit barbaric violations against Saharawi civilians and sticks to the rejection of the extension of the prerogatives of the Minurso mission, also refusing to authorize independent human rights organizations to go to the liberated territories of Western Sahara to ensure respect for human rights.
