New images of the Type 093 (NATO code: Shang) submarine, which recently entered service in the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), have been shared. Images of china's nuclear-driven submarine were released on the country's official television.

The submarine, called type 093B, can be equipped with a YJ-18 (NATO Code eagle strike 18) supersonic ship fire missile.

The Type 93 platforms, which first opened in 2006, are 110 meters long and 11 meters wide.

The hull form of submarines with a total displacement of 7,000 tons was improved and the construction of the A model and variant B with a 24 vertical launch system was started.
