First 360 protection is debatable. There are no APS currently that is fully capable of 360 domed protection. Especially Trophy APS which has pellet scatter blind spots above, rear and front.
When i talk about 360 grad protection i mean azimuth. Trophy has 4 AESA panels all around the turret which fully cover 360 grad. Thats huge step compare to T-55AD which had only 40 grad frontal arc protection. Especially since sides and rear are most vulnerable parts of the tank.

Sensors are first rate on the Merkava, the only issue is that the system that provides the intercept is lacking.

When do they plan on integrating Iron-First on to the Merkava for a layered protection, that would be something!

Thanks for the thread.

Quite the evolution that the tank has went through to become the staple of Modern warfare.

Trophy has 2 MEFP interceptors with good elevation and depression angels. Each interceptor has 180 grad coverage (360 grad total).
