Army Rheinmetall – Challenger 3 contract signed

RBSL’s Challenger 3 will launch the UK’s battle-proven main ground combat system into the digitised age. Following contract signature the upgraded Challenger 3s will provide world-class lethality, survivability, surveillance and target acquisition and will therefore provide overmatch against peer threats, rebalancing the shift of power. The new physical architecture and more significantly the state of the art open digital architecture will pave the way for future systems. Built in the UK this new system will support UK prosperity and open up future export opportunities.
