On 28 July 2021, the Vzdušné síly armády České republiky (CzAF, Czech Air Force) received the last of two additonal Airbus C295MW transporters.

The service’s sixth airlifter, serial 0482 (construction number 173) was delivered in the new C295MW version, which features winglets in order to be able to transport more payload over larger distances, including operating in hot and high conditions.

The first C295MW, serial 0481, was delivered on 18 May 2021. Both aircraft were ordered in December 2019.

The first four airframes, which entered service with the 242. transportní a speciální letka (242.tsl/24.zDL) in 2010 as a replacement for the Antonov An-26, will also be upgraded to the C295MW configuration.
