Aselsan released less information than expected in the activity report. Still, one good news is that F-16 Block 30 is getting FEWS (Fighter Electronic Warfare System) in the scope of Özgür 1/2 projects. This means block 30s will undergo a serious modernization.

Ozgur project since 15+ years , and still no news how many are modernized ? 5 , 20 , 70 ?
And will all f16 be modernised or US can stop us ?

All F-16s will be modernized, and there is no appetite from the US side to stop us. If that was the case, the US would have done it long ago.

Radar Liquid Cooling System

Designed for air platform radars. Performs liquid cooling by using platform's ECS or Ram air. Smart liquid cooling system measuring liquid's temperature, pressure and guantity and makes necessary warnings to the platform. Uses PAO as the liguid, provides cooling up to 4,5 kW.

✈️ Our F-16 Electronic Support Pod is now in the inventory of the Air Force Command!

🛫 The Electronic Support Pod (EDPOD), developed by @tubitakbilgem, has successfully completed flight tests against real radar systems and has entered the inventory of the Air Force Command.

Developed with the aim of reducing our country's dependence on foreign sources in defense technologies, EDPOD has made a strategic contribution to our electronic warfare capabilities.

The radar signal-detecting tactical electronic support pod EDPOD, integrated into F-16 aircraft;

🎯 Is an advanced electronic warfare system capable of detecting signals from enemy target detection and tracking, missile guidance, and target illumination radars; identifying threats; recording them; and making precise location estimations.

It would be interesting to know EHPOD's jamming power output.

Wasn't EHPOD supposed to be this smaller one?

There are two different products; they both can't be EDPOD.

Edit:
EHPOD is on the left, and EDPOD is on the right.

EHPOD is the POD used to jam enemy radars and any missiles’ electronic systems.
EDPOD is the POD to let the plane know where enemy radars and electronic warfare systems are.

The current aerial warfare has evolved. It is more important to have up to date electronic systems than an up to date platform to fight with. Electronic stealth is just as important as structural stealth, if not more!

Turkish airforce is aware of this and taking steps to impart this capability to our aging F16 fleet. Jane’s Defence has made a point of TurAF’s endeavours in this field as well:

These two PODs utilise DRFM (Digital Radio Frequency Memory) technology.
DRFM enables sophisticated radar deception and jamming techniques by creating false radar echoes that can confuse or disrupt enemy radar systems. DRFM is a key component technology in electronic countermeasure (ECM) systems, allowing for active responses to radar threats. EHPOD and EDPOD work together to help F16 fighters survive and inflict deadly and accurate damage to enemy assets in today’s aerial warfare.

So,why not one pod doing both?

They use totally different electronic structures in spite of the fact that they are essentially both using DRFM based technology.
In the EHPOD, jamming and deception of enemy radar and detection systems is a form of electronic countermeasures (ECMs) that intentionally sends out radio frequency signals to interfere with the operation of radar by saturating its receiver with noise or false information as well as mechanically use fake targets to deceive enemy radars.
The EDPOD, however is a finely tuned receiver of RF signals to determine the position of the wide array of enemy search radars to help the plane target and destroy them with anti radiation missiles; or send ECM (electronic counter measures) via the EHPOD to eliminate or deceive by making the plane disappear on their screens. EDPOD is a very sensitive geolocator with advanced electronics. It connects this information to other platforms via link-16 system. Physically there is so much hardware that is involved that the EDPOD needs to be housed separately. As it is separate and can communicate with other platforms via link-16, it can be used individually to link with other platforms and devices.

Yeah, if you made a single pod it would be less capable, also say one detector may be enough but you may need 3 f16s with EW pod to ouput sufficient energy to jam efc

how many would we need?
At least 3 per SEAD squadron in a very very basic counting of 20 aircraft. Would be surprised if more than 20 EDPODs are ever built unless exported. Tübitak can handle it over few years.
