This is honestly astonishing.

I don't even think that it's the rebel's tactics, weapons or numbers... it truly seems like the biggest factor here is the weakening of Iran and Russia. The whole Axis is hollowed out and therefore Assad has very little to back him up.

Russia bogged down in Ukraine.Cant get through Istanbul due to the convention.

Russian bases have been thorn on the Turks. Date back to Soviet times hence why its a big deal.
