How do this and @Bogeyman post differ.

Both are about an objects behavior during supersonic speed, no ?

These scientists have worked for 1.98 mach speeds. However, the subject of the engineer at TEI was for 5 mach speed. A speed of 5 mach is considered the beginning of the hypersonic speed regime.

I am making a flying machine myself and every gram of weight saving pays its dividends. I am not using high end anything but one of these days I will want to make the random holes the learned men/women are making. So I save the link and the PDF for reference. Thanks.

I have collected for you some parts of the studies conducted by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) in the last year (2021) in the field of Defense industry. Sorry if it has been shared before and it can also be deleted.

ANNUAL REPORT OF SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTION OF TURKEY - 2021

The YGLS Project, phase 2, has been approved by SAVTAG and work by SAVTAG continues to initiate the project. For the 2nd phase of YGLS, the design development studies started during the year for the work packages under Continued use of internally supported project budget. Work on the packaging and production of National 5 kW single-mode fiber lasers (SM) continued, the design of which was completed. A national 5 kW single-mode fiber laser (SM) was manufactured for ASELSAN.

TÜBITAK BILGEM --- JARMOL 5KW Gendarmerie Vehicle-Mounted Spindle Laser System - TÜRKIYE 2.jpg

TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, which manufactures Turkey's first National Vehicle Mounted Laser System (ARMOL) for laser weapons, continues to carry out important projects with the Vehicle Mounted Gendarmerie Laser System (JARMOL) that he developed. JARMOL was created as a semi-autonomous UAV defense weapon capable of automatically responding to the vom target positions received by radar and to track and eliminate UAV targets up to a range of 2 km, by firing her TÜBİTAK BİLGEM-made 5kW national laser under the command of the user. The system fully integrated into the Kirpi1 armored personnel carrier, including its own power system, allows to to go to any needed area and conduct operations without outside support. The system offers leading technology in its class with the ability to eliminate various threats up to 5 km from UAV prevention.

Fiber optic cables, which until now have only been used for data transmission, are being replaced thanks to the private-sector collaboration of BİLGEM also used in security area. Developed in cooperation with TÜBITAK BİLGEM and SAMM Technology, the fiber optic-based perimeter security system is used in the perimeter security of facilities with high security needs. By classifying various movements such as running, climbing, crawling and jumping thanks to artificial Deep learning intelligence, the system also offers the ability to work with surveillance cameras and can be emergency can be immediately connected to the camera in the corresponding region. The system, in two versions with Sensor technology developed from 10 to 50 kilometers is also used in seismic data acquisition. The fiber optic based security system (FOTAS Fiber Optic Acoustic Sensor System) was installed in Camlica Radio and TV Tower in Istanbul and in IT valley used in Gebze. Unauthorized attempts at passage, unauthorized excavations, etc. along the route in question. Every movement is immediately recognized and reported by the system. FOTAS is installed at points with high security needs, such as natural gas pipelines, and ensures the safety of the facilities by warning of incidents based on artificial intelligence techniques.

The light transmitted through the fiber optic changes phase with environmental effects. In other words, acoustic factors such as temperature, voltage or vehicle drive-through, human walking, excavation also create a reflection that carries 'that information' on the light's path through the glass to the rear.
This reflection is detected with a special optical and electronic device and the incoming signal is classified by artificial intelligence and signal processing. After this classification, the system is taught how to drive through a vehicle, walk, run, dig by hand or machine, and notify security personnel of the threat near the cable. The system can work alone or by integrating closed circuit cameras, the camera can rotate towards the threat.
We know that FOTAS is currently working with cameras in critical facilities. There are studies that work in an integrated way with light Reconnaissance and Surveillance Radars that we use extensively in our critical facilities.
SAMM TECHNOLOGY, a Turkish company located in Kocaeli, producing with high technology, is also the only Turkish company producing for CERN.

TRL-4 studies on 4 critical technologies were conducted as part of the National Combat Aircraft (MMU) Project.

PIAS is a PET Type Passive Radar System Under the Passive Broadcasting Detection System (PYAS) Project,
the system, which was developed with national means and made prototype production and Factory Accepted, is actually a Passive Emitter Tracking/PET type Passive Radar System that can detect in the Lower Frequency and Upper Frequency Bands.
Longitudinal signals, developed for the Air Force Command, through signals emitted by air targets. Passive Broadcast Detection System (PYAS) field acceptance tests, which measure range target positioning and tracing has been carried out successfully and the project has been completed.

The Passive Broadcast Detection System, which detects the electromagnetic waves emitted by targets and without Transmission capable of performing 3D target positioning was developed.

will continue from tomorrow. That's it for today.

* Near Field Radar Cross Section Test Facility – NFRTF project ongoing. Non-Linear Component Detection System - Long Range (NLJD-LOR) technology was won.

* The installation of the National Joint Electronic Warfare Data Bank was completed by the TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Advanced Technologies Research Institute (İLTAREN) and handed over to the Turkish Armed Forces.
In the operations of the Turkish Armed Forces; It used both airborne and land-based electronic warfare systems extensively to determine the positions of air defense systems, subvert communications infrastructure, and undermine the systems' ineffectiveness and their inability to respond to SİHAs.

While E-7T, MİLSİS-23U, MİLKAR and ANKA-I UAVs take command in the air, MİLKAR-3A3, MİLKED-4A, KORAL, REDET, VURAL (REDET-II), KARAKULAK (MİLKED-4A2), SANCAK Systems like (MILKAR-4A2) were used.
In order for the systems to be used effectively, continuous training must be carried out. Because before an electronic attack (ET) can be carried out on a radar, the information of the target radar should be collected and then suitable electronic attack methods should be investigated. In this regard, the National Joint Electronic Warfare Information Bank, which will collect information on electronic warfare under one roof, has been completed and the infrastructure of the General Staff has been provided.

* The first, electronic support, and electronic warfare Pod qualification tests
In our country the National electronic warfare pods and a national platform, and this is
F-16 aircraft were developed and flight-test activities planned for 2022.
Also this project have been successfully achieved desired results.
