Whoever sets up that list ought to read this forum first before doing the 2023 list.
Another very important point is the strength and power that lies in people when defending their homeland. Vietnam and Ukraine are good examples of this.

Absolutely.
It is a well known saying that, invading force should dedicate three times more assets and troops to effectively capture and keep the invaded land. Otherwise the chances of success is considerably insufficient.
The prime example as you rightfully pointed out is Ukraine.

Unfortunately or fortunately (depending where you stand at any given conflict), there is no metrics invented to measure the will of a defending nation and their defiance against the invader.
