New patriotic colour scheme unveiled on RAF Eurofighter Typhoon
A KEY RAF fighter jet has been given a Union Jack paint job to highlight Brexit Britain's strength on the world stage.
The new colour scheme for the Eurofighter Typhoon was unveiled at RAF Coningsby which consisted of bold red, white and blue branding. Unveiled today, the colour scheme will initially be used for one fighter plane which will travel to airshows across the country and the world during the next two years.
Two wings at the front of the plane would now be painted with all three colours of the Union flag while the tail fin would be embroidered with the RAF roundel logo, also red, white and blue.
The jet, known as Anarchy One, is able to fly up to 600mph and can climb to 10,000ft.
Wing Commander Jim Calvert, Officer Commanding 29 Squadron, said the colour scheme would “demonstrate the amazing capabilities of the aircraft at venues across the UK and Europe.”
He added: “This new paint scheme brings me an enormous amount of pride.”
