The MoD stated that they want an additional 15 commando brigades.

Pretty sure this is in regards to an increasing role in NATO.

There's been heaps of fearmongering spread over X by accounts that are seeking engagement to make money, saying that Turkiye is the next Iran, etc. I wouldn't take any of this seriously, we're firmly entrenched in the western economic block. Iran on the other hand, actively fought against it.

Look who visited two weeks ago lol

It's also worth noting that Erdogan has a very good relationship with Trump. Trump wanting to leave NATO has nothing to do with us, it's about his frustration with the EU, Canada and the UK. Don't take pro-Israeli trolls or fearmongers seriously. X is a cesspit of lies made worse by a horrendous algorithm which rewards controversy over truth.

How many personals have one of them?
Due to military security and protocols, the current and definitive military personnel roster or exact headcount for any brigade is not shared via “open sources.” However, it is known that, in accordance with the organizational structure standards of the Turkish Armed Forces and depending on the type of brigade, the standard military personnel strength ranges from 3,000 to 5,000 personnel (in peacetime). As a slightly more reliable estimate, I believe that in certain cases these lower and upper limits can be adjusting by approximately 10%.

Roughly speaking, we are talking about an additional force of between 50,000 and 80,000 troops—a size nearly equivalent to an entire army, and in terms of personnel, one that approaches the total military strength of most European armed forces. This is undoubtedly a major expansion and a bold move that will extend the professional army’s regional influence to broader territories. My hope is that one aspect of this expansion will involve the Marine Corps, and that the Naval Forces will be given priority in overseas basing and deployment strategies.

The former US counterterrorism director (whose wife trained the YPG as a member of US special forces) stated that the US would withdraw from NATO to fight alongside Israel if Turkey were to go to war with Israel in Syria.

The important questions here are no longer about Article 5 of NATO. The crucial point is that the US establishment has put going to war with Turkey on its agenda.

Here we go. Many forum users labeled me as too much Israel critisizer or maybe antisemit. Now it’s official, Jews are preparing to war with Turks. And every must to think what can he/she do in the country where there live. To prevent the war. Or fight the war.

There is nothing in that statement that we didnt know already.
Even with US support Israel wouldnt dare attack us in Syria or at home.
It would mean the end of Israel.

Trump can't withdraw from NATO, he does not have the power to do so. This is a nothingburger being spread by people who have no idea about how the political system in the US works.

You are falling for propaganda being pushed by the anti-israel republican camp that has slowly reared its head over the last year and has people vying for top positions in that camp. Turkey is the perfect country for them to use as we have big modern Military which has one of the largest combat experiences over the last two decades. This is nothing more than a wrestle for influence and power inside the remains of the republican party.

Israel can't even defeat Iran but will start a war with a way more sophisticated opponent whose missile inventory is pinpoint accurate and can evade defensive measures even better then the crude missiles of the iranian regime?

While taking dozens of causalites almost daily in Lebanon against Hezbollah.

And now they are gonna start a ground conlfict, while already being strechted thin in Lebanon and Gaza, in Syria against the new Syrian government and Turkey? While also having to defend their coast against the Turkish Navy? While also having Iran and Turkey bombard it with ballistic and cruise missiles non-stop? Against the same syrian militias which have been hardned over the last decade through one of the most hardest conflicts we have seen in modern times? Come on man, this would end with Israel on the brink of extiction with most of its population having fled the country back to their originals countries.

Wake up lmao, the only reason this shit is even being entertained in subtle tones in Turkish media is so they can use it to pacify the population for Ihanet süreci volume 2 they have been trying to shove down people's throats unsuccessfully for months now.
