Since we left the useless istanbul convention.

Can we make a convention that includes combating domestic violence. Strictly domestic violence and not bs feminism and lbgt crap mixed in with anti male sentiments.

Turkic Council should be the future not the eu.

Kyrgyz President Caparov accepts Turkey's Ambassador to Bishkek Euphrates

Caparov said the Euphrates contributed to the development of political dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey during his tenure in the country, according to the Presidential Press Centre.

Caparov stated that Kyrgyzstan is focused on developing cooperation with Turkey in the industrial and agricultural sector, creating joint ventures, and implementing projects aimed at cooperation in public private partnership, textile, mining, hydroelectric and other fields.

Noting the importance of intensifying joint cooperation, Caparov noted that Kyrgyzstan is ready to qualitatively bring the level of bilateral relations to a new level, as it is a strategic partner with Turkey but also a sister country.

Caparov and Firat also discussed the implementation of priorities and pre-planned projects aimed at boosting trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Turkish Kyrgyz Business Forum to improve trade and economic relations with Kyrgyzstan

Fırat announced that Turkish businessmen will come to Kyrgyzstan to mobilize trade and economic cooperation, and that a Kyrgyz-Turkish business forum is planned in the Issik Lake Region.

Stating that he welcomed the developing level of strategic partnership between the countries, Fırat reminded the upcoming Unofficial Summit of the Turkish Council and the Turkey-Kyrgyzstan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting.

Euphrates said good conditions had been created for him to work efficiently during his diplomatic activity in Kyrgyzstan, while wishing Caparov success in improving political reforms and the well-being of the people in his country.

Kazakhstan to issue 3,000 additional transit documents to Turkey in the first place

According to a written statement from the ministry, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoglu underlined that in an online meeting with Beibut Atamkulov, the two countries attached great importance to relations with Kazakhstan, noting the long-standing fraternal relationship.

Karaismailoglu noted that Turkey's position as kazakhstan's main transit route for transports to Central Asian countries remains. Karaismailoglu thanked for the 12,000 additional transit documents provided by Kazakhstan last year within the framework of the talks and stated that a definitive solution to the problem of additional transit documents should be found in order to avoid further overstebbing of transports and trade and to prevent this problem from happening again.

"We will give Turkey 3,000 additional transit documents in the first place," Minister Atamkulov said during the meeting, noting that they would do the necessary work for additional transit. Atamkulov proposed that the technical delegations meet shortly and discuss the details, and wished to further the brotherhood of the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, the two ministers reportedly agreed to hold a "Joint Commission Meeting on Land Transport" in early May.

Kazakhstan's ancient Turkistan city reemerges

The ancient city of Turkistan, which was declared the capital of Kazakhstan's Turkistan region, has reemerged as a spiritual and cultural center of the Turkic world.

The city with 2,000 years of history was Kazakh Khanate's capital in the 16th to 18th centuries.

Turkistan, where the well-known Sufi sheik Khoja Akhmet Yassawi lived in the 11th century and was buried there after his death, played an essential role in the Islamization of Central Asia.

It was one of the spiritual, political and commercial centers of the historical Silk Way and started to revitalize after 1991 when Kazakhstan gained independence from the Soviet Union.

A decree dated June 19, 2018, by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev formed the Turkistan region and ancient city of Turkistan as the administrative center of the region.

It is expected that the city will be established as a spiritual capital of the Turkic world during an informal summit of the Turkic Council that will be convened on March 31, at Kazakhstan's initiative.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Dosay Kenjetay, a prominent Turcologist at Turkish-Kazakh Khoja Akhmet Yassawi University, underlined the importance of Turkistan for the Turkish world.

Remarking that the city is home to dozens of prominent Turkic and Kazakh figures' tombs, apart from Yassawi's, he said: "Turkistan deserves to be recognized as the spiritual capital of the Turkic world."

Umirzak Shukeyev, governor of the Turkistan region, Kazakh government said he wants to turn the city into a cultural, spiritual, and commercial center and is making plans and investments accordingly.

The Turkic Council's 2040 vision: - stronger foreign policy coordination - security cooperation

Looks like something similar to the EU......

Karabağda talan var
Ak gerdana saldıran var
Genirsen durun gedim
Gözü yolda kalan var

Şeyh Ahmet Yesevi'nin yaktığı ateş
Ateş değil sanki şerbet iç dolu
Binbir nakış söyler yerde kilimler
Ata yurttan balkana ille Anadolu

Bu asla bir turan değil muhteşem bir tufandır
Kavuşan elalem değil can ile canandır
Şimdi türkü söylemenin işte tam zamanıdır
İki gözüm bu işin yok sağı solu

Some countries contacting the Turkic Council for membership status; Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Mongolia, South Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Malta and Qatar. Apart from that, Japan, Malaysia and Bangladesh requested partnerships with the Council.

Unlikely to be true, because the Council is mean't to represent an EU like relationship, not an economic union.

Probably highly exaggerated. Some of those countries might have applied for observer status. As far as I know, Hungary and Turkmenistan are considering joining. Turkmenistan doesn't want to jeopardize its long-standing diplomatic neutrality policy. Anyway, the Turkic council needs 50 years and the first 20 years is critical. Soviet Empire rolled over central Asian and Eastern European countries like a bulldozer. Most of the countries are bandaging those wounds and recently gained national consciousness.
