Block 40s and block 50s will be modernized after block 30s. The modernization process will continue for a decade. Block 30s are the oldest one so they will go under modernization first. There are around ~140 block 30 and 40 aircraft with a tempo of 2 per month it will take ~6 years to modernize block 30s and 40s. The modernization process of block 30 and 40s will be finished around 2028-29(2022/23 to 2028/29). The first modernized F-16 block 30s will be retired between 2040-2045 while the last modernized ones might see 2060.

Tusas is getting structural upgrade kits from LM because you can't breach license agreements and produce every part independently. That doesn't mean Tusas can't produce the structural parts it gets from LM if it comes to that.
I remember I saw an article saying Turkey extended the deal from 35 to 160 aircrafts but not confirmed. It seems we signed the deal. I hope the process does not cease due to the ordinary nonsenses of US. Maybe our ability to produce kits locally might have pushed the US to endorse such a deal.

S.Koreans tested their AESA radar on the back of a cargo plane, with the cargo bay doors wide open. It's not necessary to go to those lengths.

They probably be already doing something similar with current AESA projects. Regardless MMU still need much more dedicated testing platform.

Gökhan ramjet A-A missile will fly close to hypersonic speeds according to Tubitak Sage director Mr. Gökhan Okumuş. The hypersonic flight starts at Mach 5 so it will most likely fly at Mach 4+ at the terminal stage. Gökdoğans top speed is Mach 4 but rocket-propelled missiles cant maintain their top speed for a long time so the interception usually happens after engine burnout which means lower than top speed values.

Not surprising. The Su-57 has the same flaws. And this one will too. The Russians aren’t on the same level as the west when it comes to 5th Gen aircrafts as the Russians don’t even really have an true 5th gen Aircraft on their hands. And no the Su-57 is not 5th gen.

The manufacturing of the planes is just not good enough to call it 5th gen.

Not even gonna talk about some basic 5th gen abilities missing completely and being replaced with misinformation that maneuverability and Short landing are somehow important “5th gen attributes”.

And this advertisement by them just leads the interest customers to be disappointed once they actually get into the details of the planes. There is a good reason the Su-57 has no costumer.

When you have to advertise maneuverability and short take off and landing as 5th gen ability(which they are not) as they have done for the Su-57 no one is gonna believe you truly have a 5th gen on your hands but a new category of fighter jet that incorporates 5th gen aspect but still falls short of it. With which is nothing wrong with. But don’t advertise your product as something it isn’t.

You don’t even have an engine on your hands to power a true 5th gen. Like come one man.

And just like with the Su-57 TurAF won’t have any interest in the S-75 either.

What I understand that our F-16 fleet is not old Idk why media is always saying this. CCIP upgrade made all of our Block 40s par with block 50+ avionics wise. Why everyone saying they are old etc
