I believe this also doesn't benefit India as Pakistan goes deeper and deeper under Chinese influence.

Nope that's exactly what India wants. Delineates things better and pressures + ruins Pakistan's economy further...given the accumulated time they have spent learning English compared to Chinese (which they still will not invest in doing) and everything that portends and exists today as the reality result.

Consider where Pakistan's expatriate + emigre population are mostly located and which currency they send back home to keep the precarious economy barely afloat (at its already low setting)....and the decades (if ever) that takes to switch to much more xenophobic country like PRC.

Consider with whom their small forex bread is earned mostly....certainly not the Chinese (who rather front dubious loans backed by the same western currency...rather than actually trade/buy anything large with Pakistan).

This is off topic to get into further....but every piece of core-source NATO technology will be hewed away in cold CBA bargain.

This will broadly move to further phases this decade.

This is the consequence of total savings being stuck at ridiculously low 20 billion USD for 20 years for a population this big...and the larger reasons as to why that is.

IMHO it's time to switch caliber of T-929 from 20x102mm to 30x113mm.

Will 20mm AP or HE ammunitions be enough for heavy attack helicopter?

30x113mm caliber gives shaped charge capability which provides cheap armour penetration.

No worries the caliber has mild recoil.

Apache, French Tiger Helicopters,Mirages and several aircrafts use the 30x113 cal
RPM values of ADEN/DEFA cannons are crazy. Could auto cannon of helicopter programme 1500 rounds in a minute?

Moreover US Army start using 30x113 for SHORAD against drones.

I think it's time to start creating a new cannon.

with lower RPM your attack helicopter can burst 3P ammunitions which explode inside the buildings through Windows.

Or your helicopter could burst on enemy troops on ground effectively.

Could an attack helicopter use Programmable airburst ammunition ?

Ooh wait we already had ATOM 40mm programmable airburst grenades.

Even there is armour piercing 40mm grenade.

The ATOM launcher system is very compact.

What would happen if the T929had this 40mm smart ammo system instead of 20mm auto cannon or with it?

For armour penetration the helicopter could just use UMTAS and CIRIT.
From a helicopter , Against hidden troops/terrorists ATOM ammunition would be more effective than 20mm HE or CIRIT.
Using an auto cannon armour piercing sabots sounds old school in the 2022.
BTW German Eurocopter Tigers don't have autocannon.

AH1G being loaded 300 40mm grenades.

AH1G firing twin grenade launchers. I adore old army documentary. Skip to 2:55

This video is real helicopter gun porn !

Here are the airburst and shaped charged 40mm grenades

If we look at this picture shared by El salvador accounts, at least 4 of them are on the production line.

Kotil: "The helicopter equivalent of the National Combat Aircraft is the Atak-2 helicopter. It weighs 11 tons, can carry 1 ton of explosives, and has a 30 millimeter cannon. In this class, the USA and the Russians have helicopters. We will fly it on March 18, 2023, a very ambitious target.

We are building a general-purpose helicopter that can carry 21 people, weighing 10 tons, and will operate behind the front.

There is no new demand for the T129 Atak helicopter in the country, so they are working on Phase-2 to develop the helicopter, and that new phases may come in this regard."

When asked if there will be a naval version of T-625 Gokbey and T-929 heavy attack helicopter for TCG Anadolu, Mr Kotil responded by saying, for now we are thinking of naval version of T-929.
That is good news! That ship needs a modern big hitter of a helicopter like a T-929. Super Cobras will help. But as attack helicopters go, a ship like a TCG Anadolu will be most dangerous when it has mobile fire power of the sort that can be provided by a big gunship like T-929.
With it’s planned payload of 1500kg and 30mm gun, 11ton class Atak2 T-929 helicopter will be a formidable addition to the firepower of TCG Anadolu. Especially when they start carrying 9+km range L-Umtas, 30+ km range Temren and 100+km medium range anti ship missiles, they will be deadly.
